When a command comes from Allaah تعالى and His Messenger صلى الله عليه وسلم, then all the reasoning, personal opinions, the logic behind it, the pros and cons etc. etc. take a backseat. When a command is known, then immediate and complete submission is required.
{It is not for a believer, man or woman, when Allaah and His Messenger have decreed a matter that they should have any option in their decision. And whoever disobeys Allaah and His Messenger, he has indeed strayed in a plain error. } [Surah al-Ahzaab (33): 36]
Narrated `Alee ibn AbuTaalib رضي الله عنه: “If the religion were based on opinion, it would be more important to wipe the under part of the shoe than the upper but I have seen the Messenger of Allaah صلى الله عليه وسلم wiping over the upper part of his shoes.” [Sunan Abu Dawood (162, 164) and graded as “Saheeh” by Shaikh al-Albaanee]
When Allaah تعالى informed the Angels that He is going to create man, they asked Him the reason why He تعالى would create someone who would do mischief on earth and will spill blood. But when the command came to prostrate, all of them prostrated immediately.
Another Example:
Some of the Companions were praying facing towards Bait al-Maqdis. But, when they were informed that the direction of the Qiblah has changed, they immediately changed their direction, while they were still in Rukoo` (bowing position). [Saheeh al-Bukhaaree]
Similarly:
When the command of the prohibition of wine came, some of the Companions who used to drink immediately broke the containers in which wine was stored. They did not wait to say let us enjoy our last sip, or we’ll stop from tomorrow.
