Stories of Women who Became Muslim and Left their Non-Muslim Husbands

I know that Muslim women are not allowed in Islam to marry non-Muslim men; there is a sister on a converts’ list who recently became Muslim and who was asking what to do regarding her non-Muslim husband who accepted her conversion without any problems and who also lets her educate the children the Islamic way. However, when she asked for an advice, most of us told her that the husband has to take shahada (become Muslim) or she should not remain married to him otherwise. Unfortunately, some other people don't believe so and advised her the opposite way; that she just should remain with the husband and so on,.... I would like you to send me concrete cases at the time of the Prophet where Muslim women (sahabiyyat) would leave their non-Muslim husbands if they decided not to convert. I think those cases would be the only proof to convince the people of that list that Muslim women are not allowed to marry or remain married to non-Muslim men even though they are not against the woman's conversion.

Praise be to Allaah.
What you have said in your question about it being haraam (unlawful)for a Muslim woman to marry a non-Muslim man is correct, and there is no doubt concerning that.
Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“And give not (your daughters) in marriage to Al-Mushrikoon (polytheists)till they believe” [al-Baqarah 2:221]
Al-Qurtubi said:
“ ‘And give not (your daughters) in marriage’ means, do not give Muslim women in marriage to Mushrik (pagan)men. The ummah (Muslim nation)is agreed that a Mushrik should not marry a Muslim woman because this is like putting Islam in an inferior position. (Tafseer al-Qurtubi, 3/72).
Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“They are not lawful (wives) for the disbelievers nor are the disbelievers lawful (husbands) for them” [al-Mumtahanah 60:10]

Al-Bukhaari (may Allaah have mercy on him) said:
Chapter: when a mushrik or Christian woman who is married to a dhimmi (non-Muslim living under Muslim rule) or a harbi (non-Muslim belonging to a people who are hostile towards Islam) becomes Muslim. ‘Abd al-Waarith said, narrating from Khaalid from ‘Ikrimah from Ibn ‘Abbaas: if a Christian woman becomes Muslim shortly before her husband, she is forbidden for him… Mujaahid said: if he becomes Muslim during the ‘iddah [waiting period following divorce], then he may (re)marry her. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “They are not lawful (wives) for the disbelievers nor are the disbelievers lawful (husbands) for them” [al-Mumtahanah 60:10]. Al-Hasan and Qutaadah said concerning two Magians who became Muslim that their marriage was still valid. If one of them had become Muslim and the other had refused, the woman would have been divorced and he would no longer have any rights over her.
(Saheeh al-Bukhaari. See al-Fath, 9/421).
Examples of such women include:
Zaynab, the daughter of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). She was married to Abu’l-‘Aas ibn al-Rabee’ during the Jaahiliyyah (pre-Islamic days of ignorance) but when she became Muslim, their marriage was annulled, and she went and stayed with her father (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). When her husband became Muslim, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) sent her back to him.
(Narrated by al-Tirmidhi, 1143; Abu Dawood, 2240; Ibn Maajah, 2009; classed as saheeh by Imaam Ahmad, 1789. Al-Tirmidhi said, there is nothing wrong with its isnaad).
The correct view is that the husband can go back to her with no need to renew the marriage contract.
If the woman is still in her ‘iddah (waiting period), he has more right (than anyone else) to marry her. If her ‘iddah has ended, she is free to choose whether to go back to him or not.
Al-Tirmidhi said:
On the basis of this hadeeth, the scholars said that if a woman becomes Muslim before her husband, then her husband becomes Muslim whilst she is still in her ‘iddah, then the husband has more right to her whilst she is still in her ‘iddah. This is the view of Maalik ibn Anas, al-Oozaa’i, al-Shaafa’i, Ahmad and Ishaaq.
(Sunan al-Tirmidhi, Hadeeth 1142).
Ibn ‘Abd al-Barr said:
There is no dispute among the scholars concerning the fact that if a non-Muslim woman becomes Muslim then her ‘iddah ends, her husband has no rights concerning her if he has not become Muslim during her ‘iddah.
(Al-Tamheed, 12/23).
Ibn al-Qayyim said:
But what the ruling of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) indicates is that the marriage comes to a halt. If he becomes Muslim before the end of her ‘iddah, then she is (still) his wife, but if her ‘iddah ends, then she may marry whomever she wants. If she likes, she can wait for him, and if he becomes Muslim she is his wife and there is no need to renew the marriage contract.
(Zaad al-Ma’aad, 5/137, 138)
Al-Qurtubi said:
Talhah ibn ‘Ubayd-Allaah was married to Arwaa bint Rabee’ah ibn al-Haarith ibn ‘Abd al-Muttalib. They were separated by Islam, then in Islam Khaalid ibn Sa’eed ibn al-‘Aas married her. She was one of the [Muslim] wives of the non-Muslims who fled to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) kept her in Madinah and married her to Khaalid.
(Tafseer al-Qurtubi, 18/65, 66)
It was reported that Anas said: Abu Talhah married Umm Sulaym and the mahr (dowry)between them was Islam. Umm Sulaym became Muslim before Abu Talhah. He proposed marriage to her and she said, “I have become Muslim. If you become Muslim I will marry you.” So he became Muslim and that was the mahr between them.
(Narrated by al-Nasaa’i, 3340)
The daughter of al-Waleed ibn al-Magheerah, the wife of Safwaan ibn Umayyah, became Muslim before him, and the marriage was annulled. Then he became Muslim later on, and she went back to him. It was narrated by Maalik in al-Muwatta’, 1132. Ibn ‘Abd al-Barr said: I do not know of any unbroken saheeh isnaad for this hadeeth, but it is famous and well known to the scholars of seerah, Ibn Shihaab, the leader of the scholars of seerah, and al-Shu’bi. The fame of this hadeeth is stronger than its isnaad in sha Allaah.
(al-Tamheed, 12/19)
Umm Hakeem bint al-Haarith ibn Hishaam, the wife of ‘Ikrimah ibn Abi Jahl. Her marriage was annulled, then he became Muslim during her ‘iddah, so she went back to her husband.
(Narrated by Ibn Abi Shaybah in al-Musannaf, 4/107)
And Allaah knows best.

The Invasion of India

I have a question about the invasion of India, and the claims made by some people that it will happen. They say that the one who is killed during that invasion will enter Paradise, and they quote as evidence this hadith: It was narrated by an-Nasaa’i (hadith no. 3124) that Thawbaan, the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “There are two groups of my ummah whom Allah will protect from the Fire: the group that invades India, and the group that will be with ‘Eesaa ibn Maryam (peace be upon him).”
In Sunan an-Nasaa’i (hadith no. 3123) it is also narrated that Abu Hurayrah said: The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) promised us that we would invade India. If I live to see that, I will offer myself and my wealth in that campaign. If I am killed, I will be one of the best of the martyrs, and if I come back I will be Abu Hurayrah the liberated (from Hellfire).”
First of all, are these hadiths saheeh? If they are, then do they really refer to a war in the subcontinent towards the end of the world?

Praise be to Allah.
Firstly:
With regard to the first hadith, which is the hadith of Thawbaan, the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), it is a saheeh hadith.
It was narrated by an-Nasaa’i in his Sunan (3175) and classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh an-Nasaa’i. It was also narrated by Ahmad in his Musnad (37/81), and classed as hasan by the commentators.
With regard to the second hadith, which is the hadith of Abu Hurayrah, it is a da‘eef (weak) hadith.
It was narrated by an-Nasaa’i (3173) and classed as da‘eef by al-Albaani in Da‘eef an-Nasaa’i. it was also narrated by Ahmad in his Musnad (12/28 – ar-Risaalah edition), and classed as da‘eef by the commentators. There are other isnaads for the hadith of Abu Hurayrah, all of which are da‘eef, and there are other hadiths on this topic that are not free of problems. What has been proven and established to be saheeh is the hadith of Thawbaan.
Secondly:
India was indeed invaded and taken over by the Muslims, and they destroyed its idols, on several occasions. That began at the time of al-Waleed ibn ‘Abd al-Malik, under the leadership of al-Qaasim ibn Muhammad ath-Thaqafi. It was also invaded and taken over at the time of the ‘Abbasids, under the leadership of the commander Mahmoud ibn Sabuktigin (may Allah have mercy on him). He took it upon himself to invade India once every year. Shaykh Siddeeq Hasan Khan (d. 1307 AH – may Allah have mercy on him) said:
With regard to India, it was conquered during the reign of al-Waleed ibn ‘Abd al-Malik, at the hands of Muhammad ibn Qaasim ath-Thaqafi in 92 AH, and his banners reached from the borders of Sindh to Kannauj in 95 AH. After he returned, the rulers of India returned to their places and the rulers among the Marwanid and ‘Abbasid caliphs remained in Sindh. … The author of al-Mughni said: … At the end of the fourth century  AH, Sultan Mahmoud al-Ghaznawi set out to invade India, and he came several times; he was victorious and he captured war booty, and he wrested Sindh from the governors of the ‘Abbasid caliph al-Qaadir Billah ibn al-Muqtadir. But Sultan Mahmoud did not stay in India. His sons controlled a region stretching from Ghazneen to Lahore until the Sultan Mu‘izz ad-Deen Saam al-Ghuri took over Ghazneen, and came to Lahore and captured Khusrau Malik, who was the last ruler the Ghaznawi dynasty. He seized control of India and made Delhi the seat of government in 589 AH. From that date until the end of the twelfth century, the kingdoms of India were in the hands of Muslim Sultans.
Abjad al-‘Uloom (1/344-345).
Ibn Katheer (may Allah have mercy on him) said concerning the events of the year 94 AH: In that year, al-Qaasim ibn Muhammad ath-Thaqafi conquered India and captured booty that cannot be enumerated or described. Al-Bidaayah wa’n-Nihaayah (9/113)
Ibn Katheer (may Allah have mercy on him) said concerning the events of 96 AH: In that year, Yameen ad-Dawlah – Mahmoud ibn Sabuktigin – invaded India, conquering major cities and seizing a large amount of booty. He took captive one of their kings – namely the king of Karachi – who fled when he conquered it, and he broke their idols.
Al-Bidaayah wa’n-Nihaayah (11/358).
He also (may Allah have mercy on him) said concerning the events of 149 AH: in that year, Mahmoud ibn Sabuktigin invaded India, and met the king of India in battle. There was a great deal of fighting among the people, then the fighting ended with a great defeat for India, and the Muslims killed many of them and captured a great deal of booty from them, including gemstones, gold and silver. They also took from them two hundred elephants and they tried to pursue those who fled the battlefield, and destroyed many temples. Al-Bidaayah wa’n-Nihaayah (12/8)
What happened of the invasion of India is one of the signs of Prophethood, because the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) foretold its happening. This was knowledge of the unseen that Allah revealed to him. Ustadh Muhammad ‘Abd al-Wahhaab Buhayri (may Allah have mercy on him) said: It should be noted: the hadith mentioned – i.e., the hadith of Thawbaan – is one of the signs of Prophethood. The Muslims invaded India and Sindh at the time of the Umayyads – then he mentioned some incidents that occurred during the invasion and conquest of India. Buloogh al-Amaani min Asraar al-Fath ar-Rabbaani (22/411)
There is nothing to indicate that there will be another invasion of India that will occur at the end of time, close to the onset of the Hour or during the time of ‘Eesaa (peace be upon him), as was suggested by some scholars. Rather what appears to be the case is that what is referred to in the hadith is what actually happened. The hadith of Thawbaan does not mention the connection between the two groups; rather each group has its own time, although both of them may share the same virtue.
And Allah knows best.

The origin of the Jews

My question is about the Jewish people, as the quran told us they were chase from Egypt, so which land did they went to that time? and also where they an Egyptian citizens right from time? or what is there real origin?.

Praise be to Allah
The Jews did not originate in Egypt; rather they originated in Palestine, but Egypt was one of the significant stages in the history of the Jews. That is because the Jewish religion began at the time of the Prophet of Allah Ya‘qoob (peace be upon him), who was born and lived in the holy land, and was granted the honour of Prophethood there. Allah blessed him with many children, and part of his story is what Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, tells us of in detail in Soorah Yoosuf, when the brothers of Yoosuf (peace be upon him) plotted against their brother. The story led to him becoming a governor in Egypt, and ended with Ya‘qoob (peace be upon him) and his sons coming to Egypt and settling there under the auspices of Yoosuf (peace be upon him), as Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, tells us (interpretation of the meaning):
“Then, when they entered unto Yoosuf (Joseph), he betook his parents to himself and said: ‘Enter Egypt, if Allah wills, in security’”
[Yoosuf 12:99]
They did not leave Egypt until they left with the Prophet of Allah Moosa, and after wandering in the wilderness for forty years, until they entered the holy land of Palestine, where they were ruled by Sulaymaan (peace be upon him) and where they had a glorious history.
The Muslims and Jews do not differ concerning this general history. In fact the Torah – as it exists in the print editions today – clearly states the connection of Ya‘qoob (Jacob – peace be upon him) – also known as Israa’eel or Israel – to the land of Kan‘aan (Canaan), the land of Palestine, as it says in the Torah:
“And Jacob dwelt in the land of his father's sojournings, in the land of Canaan”
Genesis 31:1.
We referred to a number of historical books that deal with the history of the Jews or the Children of Israel, and we found that they are unanimously agreed on this historical summary, despite the fact that these books based their information on so many sources. But this overview is proven and confirmed.
See:
Al-‘Arab wa’l-Yahood fi’t-Tareekh by Dr Ahmad as-Soosah, Dar al-‘Arabi
Al-‘Arab wa’-s-Saamiyyoon wa’l-‘Ibraaniyyoon wa Bani Israa’eel wa’l-Yahood by Dr Ahmad Dawood, Dar al-Mustaqbal
Tareekh Filasteen al-Qadeem by Zafar Islam Khan, Dar an-Naqqaash
We will quote here a medium-length overview of Jewish history, by Dr Mahmoud Qadah, who said:
Our history begins with Israa’eel (Israel) – namely Ya‘qoob ibn Is-haaq ibn Ibraaheem al-Khaleel (Jacob son of Isaac son of Abraham the Close Friend of Allah – peace be upon them all) – who grew up and lived in the land of the Canaanites (Palestine), who had twelve sons from four wives, as follows:
Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Issachar and Zebulun – their mother was Leah
Joseph (Yoosuf – peace be upon him) and Benjamin (Binyameen) – their mother was Rachel (Raaheel)
Dan and Naphtali – their mother was Bilhah, the handmaid of Rachel
Gad and Asher – their mother was Zilpah, the handmaid of Leah
The twelve sons were the origin of the Israelite tribes.
Then comes the famous story of Joseph (Yoosuf – peace be upon him) with his brothers and their father Jacob (Ya‘qoob – peace be upon him), and how Israel (Jacob) and his sons moved to live in the land of Egypt, where they were honoured and respected under the auspices of Joseph (peace be upon him).
After the deaths of Jacob and Joseph (peace be upon them), with the passage of time and the succession of kings, the situation of the Children of Israel in Egypt changed from one of honour and respect to one of humiliation and ignominy, because the Pharaoh of Egypt persecuted and enslaved the Israelites. Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning):
“And (remember) when We rescued you from Firauns (Pharaoh) people, who were afflicting you with the worst torment, killing your sons and letting your women live. And in that was a great trial from your Lord”
[al-A‘raaf 7:141]
Then Allah, may He be blessed and exalted, sent Moses and Aaron (peace be upon them), the two sons of Amram son of Kohath son of Levi son of Jacob (‘Imraan ibn Qahaat ibn Laawi ibn Ya‘qoob – peace be upon him) to Pharaoh and his people, supported with miracles, to call them to believe in Allah alone, and to stop persecuting the Children of Israel. But Pharaoh and his people rejected the message, disobeyed Allah and disbelieved in Him and his signs. So Allah commanded His Messenger Moses to depart from Egypt with the Children of Israel. Pharaoh pursued them with his troops, and Allah drowned them in the sea, but He delivered Moses and his people into the land of Sinai.
The people of Moses (peace be upon him), the Children of Israel – with whom he departed from Egypt – had lived in a state of servitude, humiliation and idolatry for many years. Their beliefs had become corrupted, their souls had been tainted with evil, and their resolve have weakened. Their stubbornness, laziness, fatalism, carelessness and disobedience to the command of Allah and His Messenger became obvious… Despite the many signs and miracles that Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, bestowed upon the people of Moses, they showed an attitude of stubbornness and arrogance, and refused to believe unless they saw Allah with their own eyes. Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning):
“And (remember) when you said: ‘O Moosa (Moses)! We shall never believe in you till we see Allah plainly.’ But you were seized with a thunderbolt (lightning) while you were looking.
Then We raised you up after your death, so that you might be grateful”
[al-Baqarah 2:55]
“The people of the Scripture (Jews) ask you to cause a book to descend upon them from heaven. Indeed they asked Moosa (Moses) for even greater than that, when they said: ‘Show us Allah in public,’ but they were struck with thunder clap and lightning for their wickedness. Then they worshipped the calf even after clear proofs, evidences, and signs had come to them. (Even) so We forgave them. And We gave Moosa (Moses) a clear proof of authority”
[an-Nisa’ 4:153]
After these miracles and clear signs that Allah bestowed upon the Children of Israel, when Moses (peace be upon him) went to meet his Lord and receive the Torah on Mount Sinai, and they thought that he was taking too long to return to them, they reverted to what they were familiar with of idolatry in Egypt, and they took the calf for worship.
They continued to be impatient lazy, demanding, stubborn and rebellious, until they said what Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, tells us about in the Holy Qur’an, where He says (interpretation of the meaning):
“And (remember) when you said, ‘O Moosa (Moses)! We cannot endure one kind of food. So invoke your Lord for us to bring forth for us of what the earth grows, its herbs, its cucumbers, its Foom (wheat or garlic), its lentils and its onions.’ He said, ‘Would you exchange that which is better for that which is lower? Go you down to any town and you shall find what you want!’ And they were covered with humiliation and misery, and they drew on themselves the Wrath of Allah. That was because they used to disbelieve the Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) of Allah and killed the Prophets wrongfully. That was because they disobeyed and used to transgress the bounds (in their disobedience to Allah, i.e. commit crimes and sins)”
[al-Baqarah 2:61]
Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, instructed them to enter the holy land (Bayt al-Maqdis – Jerusalem – and the land of goodness) and promised them victory, and Moses asked his people to do that. Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning):
“And (remember) when Moosa (Moses) said to his people: ‘O my people! Remember the Favour of Allah to you, when He made Prophets among you, made you kings, and gave you what He had not given to any other among the Alameen (mankind and jinns, in the past).
‘O my people! Enter the holy land (Palestine) which Allah has assigned to you, and turn not back (in flight) for then you will be returned as losers.’
They said: ‘O Moosa (Moses)! In it (this holy land) are a people of great strength, and we shall never enter it, till they leave it; when they leave, then we will enter.’
Two men of those who feared (Allah and) on whom Allah had bestowed His Grace (they were Yoosha (Joshua) and Kalab (Caleb)) said: ‘Assault them through the gate, for when you are in, victory will be yours, and put your trust in Allah if you are believers indeed.’
They said: ‘O Moosa (Moses)! We shall never enter it as long as they are there. So go you and your Lord and fight you two, we are sitting right here.’
He (Moosa (Moses)) said: ‘O my Lord! I have power only over myself and my brother, so separate us from the people who are the Fasiqoon (rebellious and disobedient to Allah)!’
(Allah) said: ‘Therefore it (this holy land) is forbidden to them for forty years; in distraction they will wander through the land. So be not sorrowful over the people who are the Fasiqoon (rebellious and disobedient to Allah).’”
[al-Maa’idah 5:21-26]
Therefore Allah decreed that they should wander in the wilderness of Sinai for forty years, constantly travelling and not finding their way out of it, until that disobedient, careless generation that had left Egypt with Moses died, from whom he had encountered indescribable offence and disobedience. Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, says, describing the offence they caused to Moses (interpretation of the meaning):
“And (remember) when Moosa (Moses) said to his people: ‘O my people! Why do you hurt me while you know certainly that I am the Messenger of Allah to you?’ So when they turned away (from the Path of Allah), Allah turned their hearts away (from the Right Path). And Allah guides not the people who are Fasiqoon (rebellious, disobedient to Allah)”
[as-Saff 61:5]
Aaron died, followed by Moses (peace be upon them both) in the wilderness, and Allah brought forth among the Children of Israel Yoosha‘ ibn Noon (Joshua son of Nun), the servant of Moses (peace be upon them both), as a Prophet and successor to Moses (peace be upon him).
When their sojourn in the wilderness ended, Joshua (peace be upon him) brought the Children of Israel out to Bayt al-Maqdis (Jerusalem), which they besieged and Allah granted them the conquest thereof. Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, commanded them, when they entered the holy land (interpretation of the meaning):
“And (remember) when We said: ‘Enter this town (Jerusalem) and eat bountifully therein with pleasure and delight wherever you wish, and enter the gate in prostration (or bowing with humility) and say: Forgive us, and We shall forgive you your sins and shall increase (reward) for the good-doers.’
But those who did wrong changed the word from that which had been told to them for another, so We sent upon the wrong-doers Rijzan (a punishment) from the heaven because of their rebelling against Allah’s Obedience.”
[al-Baqarah 2:58]
After they entered the holy land, Joshua (peace be upon him) began to complete the conquest thereof, and he divided the conquered lands among the twelve Israelite tribes.
After the death of Joshua (peace be upon him), leadership of the Children of Israel was taken over by their judges.

Unit 2 Discussion on Criticism & Ashkal of Tablighi Jamaat

Criticism No 1.

The call of Tablighi Jamaat is call of Tasawwuf (Mysticism) ?

Criticism No 2

"Some people allege that leader of Tablighi Jamaat take the
pledge of allegiance to a Soofi order."

Criticism No 3.

It is said that those who become involved in Dawah effort of
Tablighi Jamaat, the worker of Tabligh change them from head to
toe. From belief to action and behavior they make the change
visible in every walk of life.

Criticism No 4

The criticizer claim 11 Tablighi Jamaat has put six qualities instead
of the five basic principles of Islam and six pillars of faith."

Criticism No 5

The criticizer claim "The people associated with Tablighi Jamaat
are against Dawat e Salfiyaah and enemy of its leaders. 11

Criticism No 6

"The criticizer claim that Tablighi Jamaat deny Jihad, and
understand that situation of todays Muslims is Like situation of
Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam and his companions in
M akkah before the migration."

Criticism No 7

"Tablighi J amaat does not forbid evil vigorously".

Criticism No 8

That Tablighi Jamaat are bigoted prejudiced Hanafi.
Criticism No 9

It is said "That Tablighi J amaat deny Tawheed in the worship "
Criticism No : 10

It is said "The impact of Tablighi Jamaat is not limited to
disobedient and sinful people," but even those who are already
religious and pious people also get impressed and take counsel
and effect from their effort. And Tablighi people divert people
with Salafi orientation towards the dry methodology of Tabligh
that is based on innovation and heresy.

Criticism No: 11

It is alleged "Tablighi J amaat people do Innovations as they go out
in khurooj in groups, and they go for 3 day 40 days and 4 month
for Dawah"

Criticism No : 12

People are also alleging other things.... this and this ....and this and
that

Translator's Note

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.

All praises to Allah the Sustainer of the worlds, and grace, honour and salutations on the Chief
of Apostles and Seal of Prophets, Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam, his family,
companions and those who followed him in an excellent fashion and invited mankind towards
Allah, till the Day of Resurrection.

It is a fact that 95% of Great Ulema e Haqq (True Scholars) all over the world are
supporting Dawah effort being done by Tabligh Jamaat. Although Many of the Ulma e
Haqq are working in service of Islam in different fields e.g Madarsa, Fatawa, Dars O Tadrees
and Tasnnef o Taleef, Tazkiya etc so they may not always have active Participation in Tablighi
Jamaat.

Some Ulema Scholars may have some misunderstanding. The work and character of the
effort will convince them. This method of convincing was successfully used by Maulana Ilyas
Rahimullah. He not only convinced Rather He even took active work from those who were
initially even against the effort.

Some Scholars may be pointing the mistakes of workers or on some Scholarly issues. Don't
take it as opposition. Rather it should be listened carefully and should be looked into for
correction. This is the approach of our Elders.

If anyone is criticizing unjustly still one should not make it an issue against that person.
Sabr (Patience) and Hikmat is the tool to deal this situation. We should not make Badgumani
about any brother rather should give him benefit of doubt.

Deficiency is in itself part of human nature The work of Tableegh, its methodology and its
workers (laymen, Scholars and students (of knowledge) alike are neither perfect nor free from
error and they are not claiming so. Markaz Nizamuudin always remain receptive to suggestions
Advices for improvement. The translator has personal experience in this regard.

But there are Baseless allegations, false exaggeration and clear errors in many
articles/Talk on internet against Tablighi Jamaat. Those who are making and spreading it

don't follow a basic principle of Shariah that is to investigate and research news before
accepting and passing to others.

6 :cAj^l\)
[49:6] 0 you who believe, if a sinful person brings you a report, verify its

correctness, lest you should harm a people out of ignorance, and then become
remorseful on what you did.

Many a times those doing criticism base their talk/ article on some other
Talks/ article and don't check it's correctness by doing countercheck from original
source and by this way the wrong information once start enters into a vicious cycle. They
violate this Hadith of Prophet in Sahih Muslim.

Sayyidina Abu Hurairah (RA) narrated that Sayyidina Rasul-ullah (Sallaho Alaihe
Wassallam) said, "It is enough falsehood for a person to transmit everything he
hears." [Muslim]

Another dangerous trend is of suspicion about fellow muslims/ M uslim.
Allah (SWT) emphatically prohibit suspicion

12 j^Ji) m'jh b\ 1 j^j » ^ ^
[49:12]

Oyou who believe, abstain from many of the suspicions. Some suspicions are sins. And do
not be curious (to find out faults of others), and do not backbite one another. Does one of
you like that he eats the flesh of his dead brother? You would abhor it. And fear Allah.
Surely Allah is Most-Relenting, Very-Merciful.

36 :o*<«) fill).

[3:159] So, (O Prophet) it is through mercy from Allah that you are gentle to them. Had
you been rough and hard-hearted, they would have dispersed from around you...
Maulana Umar Palanpuri Rahimullah of Markaz Nizamuddin while replying the
same question in the gathering of the shuyukhs and scholars of Madenah Munawwara at
the house of sheikh Hammad ibne Muhammad Al Ansari (As told by Sheikh Khalilur
Rahman in his recorded urdu speech personally given by the son of sheikh umar
Palanpuri to the translator) said that we are not claiming this to be only method

neither we object to those who are adopting harsh Methodology against Bidat o
Shirk. We simply say it is our Methodology against Bidat and Shirk. Translator)

The Tablighi Jamaat approach has been explained
and it does not include open criticism and direct
condemnation on evil as its basic principles.
This is for two reasons.

I: In our society carelessness and unawareness has
override sins and immorality. Sins and evils are so
rampant that people are not considering sins as sins.
In this condition mere condemnation and
denunciation is not likely to work and this is a reality
and any insightful person will not deny it.
And second:

Tablighi Jamaat has a programme of taking
people involved in sins in Khurooj. By this way the
person will leave the evil environment, evil
company and society. And in khurooj he will
remain in good environment in the mosques in the
company of good people. This good environment
actually cures the person and it is a well proved
Result that in this environment within a short period
of time he leaves sins. In many cases he starts strong
disliking and has an aversion to sins.
This approach is more effective than lecturing for
good or condemning bad for a person or society that
is by and large heedless.
Another thing is:

Do criticizers of Tablighi Jamaat has done any
organized effort to stop evil. And the answer and
the prevailing condition is well known. Those who
are criticizing Tablighi Jamaat they are also not doing
any harsh concrete step to stop evil. May Alllah
Pardon me and all Muslims for neglecting Nahi Anil
Munkar (Forbade evils).

Point No 8

That Tablighi Jamaat are bigoted prejudiced
Hanafi.

We say:

(Even if we consider the claim true) Is this a
Character of Tablighi Jamaat or Is it special about
Tablighi Jamaat? Oh no!

Any observer of affairs of Muslim Ummah cannot
deny the fact that the Muslims associated with
different school of jurisprudence like Shafi'i Maliki
Hanbali and other School of jurisprudence are
Partisan for their respective Fiqh and not spared from
this intolerance, only those who have recognized the
true character of right path (Islam) and has
abandoned sectarianism and ideological intolerance.
And these good people have adopted the Islamic path
after finding it. But the proportion of people (free
from groupism) among Muslim ummah and the
Islamic nation is one to a thousand or even less.

So cursing Tablighi Jamaat people alone for Hanafi
intolerance when all jurisprudence people are
involved in this partisan.

In Tablighi Jamaat there are Hanafi, Maliki,
Shafi'i, Hanbali, so this criticism cannot be tagged
with tablighi jamaat. What has happened to these
criticizers who do not understand this so clear
matter? The activities and areas of work of tablighi
jamaat is spread from North Africa to West Africa in
Europe, America, in the Middle East. There is a not
a single evidence from anywhere to prove that
they called a particular Maslak, Jurisprudence
school or sub ideology doctrine. There Dawah is
limited to strengthening faith (Emaan/Aqeedah) and
the manifestation of strength of Emaan should be
exemplified by actions that please Allah. They should
obey the command of Allah and should leave the

Sins. It is there that in Salat they (Tabligh brothers from Indian
subcontinent) follow them (Hanafi school of jurisprudence). But they
never call anyone towards it (Hanafi School of jurisprudence).

And it is known to all that Muslims associated with
Tablighi Jamaat are receptive to the truth faster and
they follow the Kitab o sunnat very eagerly.

Point 9

It is said "That Tablighi Jamaat deny Tawheed in
the worship "

(Translator: Nauzubillah How false an allegation is? May Allah pardon all of us.)

We say:

It is Right that some of them do not separately
classify the Tawheed al Ibadah (One of the three
types of Tawheed classified by scholars), but they do
not do anything contrary to it. They never call
towards any sort of worship for anyone other than
Allah, in Dua, Sacrificial slaughtering, In Nazr o
Neyaz (vow) or in hope and fear as the condition
of misguided people. (They call only towards
Allah).

As far as the correct understanding of Tawheed al
Ibadah is concerned, the deficiency among the
muslim ummah is very rampant. If they would have
been having correct understanding of it they would
not have worshiped the people in grave, no vow and
swear on their name, no animal sacrifice on their
name.

So it is our duty to educate the Muslim ummah and
general muslim mass instead of playing the blame
game.

Point : 10

It is said "The impact of Tablighi Jamaat is not
limited to disobedient and sinful people," but even
those who are already religious and pious people
also get impressed and take counsel and effect

from their effort. And Tablighi people divert
people with Salafi orientation towards the dry
methodology of Tabligh that is based on
innovation and heresy.

We say:

In this criticism, there is a recognition and acceptance
that Tablighi jamaat has an impact on sinful people
and they start obeying the commands of Allah and
path of Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam is a
good gesture and sign and this is a reflection of facts
and ground realities. Blessing and greetings should
be on the person who effort is made means of
guidance by Allah for any disobedient and sinful
slave.

As far as the second recognition about its
influence on religious and pious people. Their
acceptance to the call of Tablighi jamaat is very
significant. That means that by the effect of
Tablighi Jamaat pious people not remain confined
or satisfied with their self reformation/guidance
Rather they become keen for hidayat/bringing
good for fellow muslim brothers. So it is also a
good Result.

Sacrifice of time, life and wealth is needed for
reformation and nurturing of general Muslims
mass which are in large number. And sacrifice is
not always easy thing. The Proportion of seekers

(Taalib) compared to Scholars (well learned) is much
greater in Tablighi jamaat.

In this context I will tell a fact with sorrow and
grief that many people who are actually not ready
for sacrifice of their life and wealth for the
correction and nurturing of fellow humanity, they
start doing opposition to Tablighi Jamaat.

Point : 11

It is alleged "Tablighi Jamaat people do
Innovations as they go out in khurooj in groups,
and they go for 3 day 40 days and 4 month for
Dawah"

We say:

There is no doubt that to go out for effort of Dawah
in the path of Allah for reformation and correction is
akin to going out to seek knowledge and guidance.
Going out and inviting people to Allah and to teach
them what will benefit them in this world and life
Hereafter (Akhirah).

These all will come under the ambit of Khurooj fi
sabilillah if

• These are done with Ikhlas (Sincerity of
intention), to please Almighty Allah.

• There should be no intention of gaining
wealth, Fame, position, job or status.

• There should also be no involvement in Fun,
amusement or unlawful activities.

Those who are denying the khurooj of Tablighi
Jamaat for Dawah, Reformation of self and
Tazkiya are either ignorant to Islamic Knowledge
or trying to posing as cleverly/smartly unknown
(Tajahil e Arifna) after knowing all truth.
The Prophet, peace be upon him says:
"To be in path of Allah for one morning or one
evening is better than whole world and whatever in
it.

Another report from prophet is

"Whosoever comes to mosque with intention to either
learn or to teach any good then he is Mujahid Fi
sabilillah (Those who strive in the path of Allah).
Similarly

Many Sahih and Hasan Hadith has encouraged for
the path of Allah, and the call has been given for Fi
sabilillah .

So, o People, After all these clarity should it be
claimed that Khurooj of tablighi jamaat is Bidah or
heresy?

And more shocking is the case of those who claim to
go in groups is an innovation and they give proof that
Prophet sallallahu Alaihi wasallam has sent Hazrat

Maadh Raziallahu Anhu to Yaman alone and it was
not sent as group.

These people either forget or don't have knowledge
that Prophet has sent some 70 Sahaba or even more
for education of Muslims. And they also forget that
even Hazrat Maadh Raziallhu Anhu was not sent
alone but Hazrat Abu Moosa Asharee Raziallahu
Anhu accompanied him and said to both of them
'"Make things easy and do not involve people in
difficulties; give them happy news and do not inspire
aversion in them. "

Similarly he has sent Hazrat Ali Raziallahu Anhu and
Hazrat Khalid bin Saeed al-Aas Raziallahu Anhu for
teaching and guiding, and to do justice according to
Quran and sunnah and a large group of sahaba
accompanied them.

The second claim of innovation is fixing days for
Khurooj fi sabilillah. They do not know (simple
facts)

• That this is merely a system.

• It is like any system of deen like Madaris
(Islamic School) and Islamic
universities.In universities the days of
teaching and vacation are fixed so that
people will be well aware about schedule
and their engagements.

• In this system of Dawah (of Tablighi
jamaat) days are fixed so that people will
make their arrangement for food and travel,
to take leave for those days from their
engagements (From offices or business etc).

So after all these facts Is it Bidah to fix some days for

Khurooj fi sabilillah?

Subha Nallah For these Brothers ( The criticisers of
Dawah work of Tablighi Jamaat) these couplets of
Arabic Poet is suitable.

With the eyes of friendship even the faults are not
perceived as faults

With the eyes of anger and hatred even small things
are perceived as Major Faults.

O my brother why are so bitter having hatred for
Tablighi Jamaat? Are you becoming angry on such
slaves of Allah who are calling people towards Allah.
And by this action he wants to have the pleasure of
Allah for himself and his fellow brothers. They are
striving for their rectification, purification of heart
and developing Islamic etiquettes.

Point : 11

People are also alleging other things.... this and
this ....and this and that

May Allah save us from those sentences, (Rumors
and Allegations) against Dawat o Tabligh which may

be regarded as obstruction in the Path of Allah and
obstruction in Juhad fiddeen (Effort of Deen). Only
those will be saved whom Allah want to save.

For those readers who wants to know the truth, the
guided path and are free from corrupted objectives,
False assumptions, I want to clear That I myself is
not associated with Tablighi Jamaat and I have not
gone formally with them for even a single day
following their schedule.

But it is not because for errors in Tablighi Jamaat.

• Rather the reason that is obstructing for my
participation is my inability for that much
sacrifice of Wealth and time and bearing the
difficulties in the path of Allah that they
bear.

As the mistakes of tablighi jamaat are concerned
they cannot be obstruction for me to participate in
it and to give them good advice and counsel for
matters they might not aware as .

• Firstly these perceived errors are very less and
there assumed wrong result is still lesser or
negligible.

• No one is free from errors? Is there anyone
among human who is free from errors. Except
the Prophet Alihissalam as they are Masoom
(Always free from sins and errors)

So I limit myself for

• Intending good for them

• If I see any error /mistake in them I do its
correction Advice and counsel.

• I save my tongue from exposing criticizing or
alleging them.

• So that I must not be counted among those who
are obstructing the effort of Dawah and from
Path of Allah.

But some of my brothers May Allah guide them.
When they are not able to do the level of sacrifices
and bearing difficulties as Tablighi Jamaat people do
then they

• Start criticizing them

• They make allegation on them

• They spread rumors against them to defame
them

• They develop doubts and confusion in the
minds of others about them.

Although they should not do this.

I seek help from Allah .May Allah bless Darood o
Salam on Prophet Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi
Wasallam and upon his family and companions.

Focus on Your Creator, not his Creations.

A son went to his father and said, “I won't be going to the Masjid anymore!”
He said, “May I ask  why?”
He answered, “I see people on their cell phones during Salah, others are gossiping, some are not acting appropriately, they are all just hypocrites!”
The Father became silent, and said, “OK... But can I ask you to do something for me before you make your final decision?”
He said, “What’s that?”
The father said, “Take a glass of water and walk around the Masjid 2 times and don't let any water fall out the glass.”
He agreed to do what his father asked. After awhile he came back and said it's done.
The father then asked his son 3 questions.
“1. Did you see anybody on their phone?
2. Did you hear anyone gossiping? 3. Was anyone behaving wrong?”
He answered, “I didn't see anything  nor did I hear anything because I was too busy focussing on not spilling the glass, so the water wouldn't fall.”
He told him, “when you go to the Masjid, you should be  focused on your Creator and not on the creation, only then you can receive the true benefit of being in the House of Almighty Allah!”

He ordered me with seven things.

Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (رضي الله عنه) reported that Rasulullah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said:

“My close friend (i.e. Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلم) ordered me with seven things:

(1) To love the poor and to be close to them

(2) To look to those who are less [fortunate] than me and not to those who are above me

(3) To maintain the ties of kinship even if they break them off

(4) To not ask anyone for anything (i.e. to abstain from begging)

(5) To say the truth even if it is unpleasant

(6) To not fear the censure of the critics

(7) To increase in saying: ‘La hawla wa la quwwata illa billah’ (There is no might nor power except with Allah), as it is from the treasures that are underneath the Throne.”

A man was asked to paint

A man was asked to paint a boat.

He brought with him paint & brushes & began to paint the boat a bright red, as the owner had asked him to do.

While painting, he noticed that there was a small hole in the hull, & quietly repaired it.

When he finished, he got paid & he left.

The next day, the owner of the boat came back to him &  presented him with a nice cheque, much higher than the initial payment for painting.

The painter was surprised & said "U've already paid me for painting the boat Sir!"

The man replied, "But this is not for the paint job. It's for having repaired the hole in the boat."

The painter exclaimed, "Ah! But it was such a small service... certainly it's not worth paying me such a high amount for something so insignificant."

The man said, "My dear friend, u do not understand. Let me tell u what happened.

When I asked u to paint the boat, I forgot to mention about the hole.

When the boat dried, my kids took the boat & went on a fishing trip.

They did not know that there was a hole & I was not at home at that time so that I could stop them.

When I returned & noticed they had taken the boat, I was desperate & in great distress.

Imagine my relief & joy when I saw them returning from fishing.

Then, I examined the boat & found that u had repaired the hole! Can u see now, what u did? U saved the life of my children! I will never have enough money to pay ur 'small' good deed."

So, no matter who, when or how, just continue to do all ur work with great love & passion. Don't do it for the money but do  it with the intention to provide service excellence to the creation of اللَّهُ Subhana wa Ta'ala. Give off ur best efforts to help, heal, sustain, wipe tears, listen attentively & to carefully repair all the 'leaks' u find.
U may never know how ur one act of kindness can change someone's world or even save a life.

In every moment of our service to others whether it be through the work we do, or feeding & looking after our families & communities, اللَّهُ Subhana wa Ta'ala presents us with opportunities to be helpful & important to someone. Don't let these opportunities slip by.
Keep on giving the best of urself to everyone. U may have repaired numerous 'boat holes' along the way of several people without realizing it & in their joy & appreciation of what u did for them they may have sent an abundance of good wishes, thoughts, love, care & duas.

Also don't consider any act menial or tiny . Every single thing that u do holds a mighty & great weight especially if u intend doing it all to please اللَّهُ Subhana wa Ta'ala & to serve Him.

The Ten Accursed Women

THE TEN ACCURSED WOMEN

The following are the ten sinful women or those
women who are accursed and who will be
removed from the mercy of Allaah ﺗﻌﺎﻟﻰ:

1. Tattooing: the one who does it and the one
who gets it done.

2 Plucking the eyebrows:

The doers and the
one who gets it done.

3. Artificially creating space between the teeth
to look beautiful: the doers and the one who
gets it done.

Source (Hadith): ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Mas’ood said: I
heard the Messenger of Allah saying,

❝Allah has cursed the woman who does tattoos
and the one who has them done, the woman who
plucks eyebrows (al-naamisah) and the one who
has it done (al-mutanammisah), and the one who
files her teeth for the purpose of beauty, altering
the creation of Allaah.❞
(Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5931; Muslim, 2125)

4. Adding false hair: the provider of false hair
and the one who gets it done.
Source (Hadith): Narrated Ibn `Umar and Abu
Hurairah :
The Prophet ﷺ has cursed the
lady who lengthens her hair artificially and the
one who gets her hair lengthened, and also the
lady who tattoos (others) and the one who gets
herself tattooed.

(Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (5933, 5934, 5937, 5940,

and also reported on the authority of `Aaishah)
5. The woman whose husband is angry at her:
Source (Hadith): Narrated Abu Hurairah:
The Prophet said,
❝If a woman spends the night deserting her
husband's bed (does not sleep with him), then

of women and those women who are in the
similitude (assume the manners) of men.
(Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (5885))
. Those Women who are Ungrateful to their
Husband:
Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:
The Prophet said,

❝I was shown the Hell-fire and that the majority
of its dwellers were women who were
ungrateful.❞

It was asked, ❝Do they disbelieve in Allah?❞ (or
are they ungrateful to Allah?
The prophet replied,
❝They are ungrateful to their husbands and are
ungrateful for the favors and the good
(charitable deeds) done to them. If you have
always been good to one of them and then she
sees something in you (not of her liking), she will
say, 'I have never received any good from you.❞
(Saheeh al- Bukhaaree Vol. 7 Hadith no.5197)
*8. Those Women who wear Perfume and go out
(to the market or mosque):*
It was narrated from Abu Moosa (Radiyyallahu
Anhu) that the Prophet said,
❝If a woman puts on perfume and passes by
people so that they can smell her fragrance, then
she is such and such,❞
And he (Salalahu Alayhi Wasalam) spoke sternly
- meaning an adulteress (zaaniyah).
(Narrated by Abu Dawood (4173) and al-Tirmidhi
(2786); classed as saheeh by Ibn Daqeeq al-Eid
in al-Iqtiraah (126) and by Shaykh al-Albaani in
Saheeh al-Tirmidhi)
N.B : It is not permissible for women to put on
perfume, whether she is going to the mosque or
anywhere else; rather it is narrated that women
are specifically forbidden to use perfume when
going to the mosque.
Source (Hadith):
It was narrated that Zaynab, the wife of ‘Abd-
Allah ibn Mas‘ood (may Allah be pleased with her
and her husband) said:
The Messenger of Allaah said to us,
❝If one of you (women) wants to go to the
mosque, let her not put on perfume.❞
(Saheeh Muslim (443))
*9. Women making a wanton display of
themselves (Tabarruj) and showing their charms
and not adhering to correct Islamic hijab and
noble Islamic manners.*
*10. Those Women who pile their hair on top of
their heads(camel hump hijab), they will not see
Paradise or smell its fragrance:*
Narrated Abu Hurayrah (Radiyyallahu Anhu) that
the Prophet ﷺ said:
❝There are two types of the people of Hell whom
I have not seen: men with whips like the tails of
cattle with which they strike the people, and
women who are clothed but naked, walking with
an enticing gait, with something like the humps
of camels on their heads.
They will not enter Paradise nor even smell its
fragrance, and its fragrance can be smelled from
such and such a distance.❞
(Saheeh Muslim)
Al-Nawawi said concerning the meaning of this
passage: “clothed yet naked” means that they
will uncover part of their bodies to show their
beauty, so they will be clothed yet naked.
And it was said that they will wear thin clothes
which shows what is beneath them, so they will
be clothed yet virtually naked.
My prayer is that may majority of our women
who fall into the category of accursed women
not die in this state by Allah's will Aameen . The
consequences are grave but they do not seem to
know. Allah's aid is sought
