Allah is in heaven .................what is the meaning?

I have heard someone deny that Allah, may He be exalted, is in heaven. He says: The heaven (or the sky) is going to cease to exist; exalted be Allah above occupying space in it. And the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “The heaven creaked, and no wonder it creaked, for there is no spot in it but there is an angel there, standing or bowing or prostrating.” So exalted be Allah above occupying space among the angels.

Praise be to Allah
These words are a correct statement made with a bad or twisted intention. It is true that Allah does not occupy space in heaven, nor does He – may He be exalted – occupy space among the angels. What is wrong here is the conclusion he wants to reach, which is the denial that Allah, may He be exalted, is above His creation, and giving people the false impression that if Ahl as-Sunnah wa’l-Jamaa‘ah say that Allah, may He be exalted, is “in heaven [fi’s-samaa’]”, what is meant is that the heaven contains Him or encompasses Him. No one of Ahl as-Sunnah says such a thing.
Ahl as-Sunnah do not say that Allah, may He be exalted, is “in heaven [fi’s-samaa’]” on the basis of some line of poetry or eloquent literary text; rather they say that, and believe it, on the basis of what Allah, may He be exalted, says about Himself, and what the Messenger (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said.
For more information on some of the evidence for Allah, may He be exalted, being above His creation, please see the answers to questions no. 992 and 124469.
To refute the specious argument mentioned in the question, we say: The word samaa’ (heaven, sky) has two meanings: (i) being high or exalted and (ii) the well-known physical entity which is the “the heaven raised high” (cf. 52:5). When Ahl as-Sunnah say that Allah is in heaven, what is meant is by heaven here is being high, exalted, above all things [and not in a physical location].
However, when the word samaa’ is used to refer to the physical firmament, then what is meant by “in” (fi) is “above” (‘ala).
Al-Haafiz Ibn ‘Abd al-Barr (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
The words (interpretation of the meaning) Do you feel secure that He who [is] in the heaven would not cause the earth to swallow you”[ al-Mulk 67:16] mean: He Who is above the heavens, that is, above the Throne.
The word fi (“in”) may mean ‘ala (above). In the verse in which Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning): “So travel freely, [O disbelievers], in [fi] the land [during] four months” [at-Tawbah 9:2], the word fi (lit. “in”) means on (‘ala) the land. End quote.
At-Tamheed (7/130).
Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih al-‘Uthaymeen (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
What is meant by Allah being in heaven [fi’s-samaa’] is that He is above the heavens, so the word fi (lit. in) in this instance means ‘ala (above), as is seen in the verse in which He, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning): “Say, Travel in (fi) the land” [al-An‘aam 6:11]. Here fi (in) means ‘ala (on).
It may be that fi (in) refers to time or place; in this case the word samaa’ (translated above as heaven) refers to being high or exalted. In that case, what is meant is that Allah is on high.
The meaning of time or place is not appropriate in the phrase fi’s-samaa’ if what is meant by samaa’ is the physical entity or firmament, because that may give the impression that the sky or heaven (as-samaa’) is encompassing Allah, and this meaning is wrong, for Allah is too great to be encompassed by anything that He has created. End quote.
Majmoo‘ Fataawa ash-Shaykh al-‘Uthaymeen (4/283)
Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
When the early generations (salaf), the leading scholars (imams) and all the Sunni scholars say that Allah is “above the Throne” or that He is “in heaven [fi’s-samaa’], above all things”, they are not saying that there is something that encompasses Him or contains Him, or that there is some place where He is, , glorified and exalted be He far above that. Rather He is above all things, and He has no need of all things; rather all things are in need of Him. He is far above all things, and He is the One Who is holding the Throne and the bearers of the Throne, by His might and power. Every created being is in need of Him, and He has no need of the Throne or of any created being.
With regard to what we see in the Qur’an and Sunnah of the words Do you feel secure that He who [is] in the heaven would not …”[ al-Mulk 67:16], and the like, some may understand from it that the word samaa’ (heaven) refers to the lofty created things, the Throne and everything beneath it, so they say that the phrase “in  heaven (fi’s-samaa’)” means “above the heaven (‘ala’as-samaa’)”, similar to the verse (interpretation of the meaning), “Say, Travel in (fi) the land” [al-An‘aam 6:11] meaning travel on the land.
There is no need for all this discussion; rather the word samaa’ refers to anything that is high or lofty, and it does not refer to any specific physical entity. The phrase fi’s-samaa’ [translated as “in heaven”] refers to being up or above, as opposed to being down or beneath.
So Allah is the Exalted, the Most High, and His is all highness and exaltedness; He is above the Throne, and there is none but Him, the Exalted, the Most High, glorified and exalted be He. End quote.
Majmoo‘ al-Fataawa (16/100-101).
And Allah knows best.

What are the results of pairing faith with righteousness?

Praise be to Allah
Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning):
“Whoever does righteousness, whether male or female, while he is a believer - We will surely cause him to live a good life, and We will surely give them their reward [in the Hereafter] according to the best of what they used to do”
[an-Nahl 16:97].
Al-Haafiz Ibn Katheer (may Allah have mercy on him) said:
This is a promise from Allah, may He be exalted, to the one who does righteous deeds, which refers to deeds that are in accordance with the Book of Allah, may He be exalted, and the Sunnah of His Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), whether that person is male or female, from among the descendants of Adam, and believes in Allah and His Messenger in his heart, that Allah will cause him to live a good life in this world, and will reward him in the hereafter according to the best of his deeds. The good life includes a life of comfort and ease in many ways. It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbaas and a number of others that they interpreted it as referring to good and lawful provision. It was narrated from ‘Ali ibn Abi Taalib (may Allah be pleased with him) that he interpreted it as referring to contentment. Something similar was stated by Ibn ‘Abbaas, ‘Ikrimah and Wahb ibn Munabbih. ‘Ali ibn Abi Talhah narrated from Ibn ‘Abbaas that it refers to happiness. Ad-Dahhaak said: It is lawful provision and worship in this world. Ad-Dahhaak also said: It is doing acts of obedience and finding comfort therein. The correct view is that the good life includes all of that.
End quote from Tafseer Ibn Katheer (4/516)
Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning):
“And your Lord says, "Call upon Me; I will respond to you." Indeed, those who disdain My worship will enter Hell [rendered] contemptible”
[Ghaafir 40:60]
“But whoever desires the Hereafter and exerts the effort due to it while he is a believer - it is those whose effort is ever appreciated [by Allah ]”
[al-Israa’ 17:19]
“But he who does of righteous deeds while he is a believer - he will neither fear injustice nor deprivation”
[Taa-Haa 20:112].
These verses indicate that if a person believes in Allah, may He be exalted, and strives sincerely for his Lord’s sake, and does not associate anyone else in his worship, and adheres to the laws of Allah, and does not stray from that, then he will attain happiness in both realms, and will attain success in this world and the hereafter. One of the greatest blessings of this world that he can attain is to be blessed with peace of mind, a feeling of comfort and a life of ease, focusing on his duties towards Allah, having strong faith and certainty, without anything to distract him from that; rather Allah will bless him with a heart that is pure and clean, and will enable him to speak in a manner that is proper and good, and to do righteous deeds, and He will save him from temptation, confusion   and fitnah, whether apparent or hidden.
If he dies like that, then Allah will save him from the trial of the grave, and when He resurrects him, He will make the reckoning easy for him and grant him a multiple reward, and turn his bad deeds into good deeds, then He will admit him to Paradise by His mercy. There he will be happy and never be sad, he will live and never die, and he will find in it that which no eye has seen, no ear has heard, nor has it ever crossed the mind of man.
Allah, may He be exalted, says (interpretation of the meaning):
“Indeed, those who have said, ‘Our Lord is Allah’ and then remained on a right course - the angels will descend upon them, [saying], ‘Do not fear and do not grieve but receive good tidings of Paradise, which you were promised.
‘We [angels] were your allies in worldly life and [are so] in the Hereafter. And you will have therein whatever your souls desire, and you will have therein whatever you request [or wish].
As accommodation from a [Lord who is] Forgiving and Merciful’”
[Fussilat 41:30-32].
And Allah knows best.

Ruling on celebrating Valentine’s Day

What is the ruling on Valentine’s Day?

Praise be to Allaah.
Firstly:
Valentine’s Day is a jaahili Roman festival, which continued to be celebrated until after the Romans became Christian. This festival became connected with the saint known as Valentine who was sentenced to death on 14 February 270 CE. The kuffaar still celebrate this festival, during which immorality and evil are practised widely.
Secondly:
It is not permissible for a Muslim to celebrate any of the festivals of the kuffaar, because festivals come under the heading of shar’i issues which are to be based on the sound texts.
Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: Festivals are part of sharee’ah, clear way and rituals of which Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“To each among you, We have prescribed a law and a clear way”
[al-Maa’idah 5:48]
“For every nation We have ordained religious ceremonies which they must follow”
[al-Hajj 22:67]
-- such as the qiblah (direction faced in prayer), prayer and fasting. There is no difference between their participating in the festival and their participating in all other rituals. Joining in fully with the festival is joining in with kufr, and joining in with some of its minor issues is joining in with some of the branches of kufr. Indeed, festivals are one of the most unique features that distinguish various religions and among their most prominent symbols, so joining in with them is joining in with the most characteristic and prominent symbols of kufr. No doubt joining in with this may lead to complete kufr.
Partially joining in, at the very least, is disobedience and sin. This was indicated by the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) when he said: “Every people has its festival and this is our festival.” This is worse than joining them in wearing the zinaar (a garment that was worn only by ahl al-dhimmah) and other characteristics of theirs, for those characteristics are man-made and are not part of their religion, rather the purpose behind them is simply to distinguish between a Muslim and a kaafir. As for the festival and its rituals, this is part of the religion which is cursed along with its followers, so joining in with it is joining in with something that is a cause of incurring the wrath and punishment of Allaah. End quote from Iqtida’ al-Siraat al-Mustaqeem (1/207).
He also said (may Allaah have mercy on him): It is not permissible for the Muslims to imitate them in anything that is uniquely a part of their festivals, whether it be food, clothing, bathing, lighting fires, refraining from a regular habit, doing acts of worship or anything else. It is not permissible to give a feast or to give gifts, or to sell anything that will help them to do that for that purpose, or to allow children and others to play games that are part of the festivals, or to wear one’s adornments.
To conclude: the Mulsims should not do any of their rituals at the time of their festivals; rather the day of their festival should be like any other day for the Muslims. The Muslims should not do anything specific in imitation of them. End quote from Majmoo al-Fataawa (25/329).
Al-Haafiz al-Dhahabi (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: If the Christians have a festival, and the Jews have a festival, it is only for them, so no Muslim should join them in that, just as no Muslim should join them in their religion or their direction of prayer. End quote from Tashabbuh al-Khasees bi Ahl al-Khamees, published in Majallat al-Hikmah (4/193)
The hadeeth to which Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah referred was narrated by al-Bukhaari (952) and Muslim (892) from ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her) who said: Abu Bakr came in and there were two young girls of the Ansaar with me who were singing about what had happened to the Ansaar on the day of Bu’aath. She said: And they were not (professional) singing girls. Abu Bakr said: “Musical instruments of the shaytaan in the house of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)?!” and that was on the day of Eid. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “O Abu Bakr, every people has a festival and this is our festival.”
Abu Dawood (1134) narrated that Anas (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: When the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) came to Madeenah, they had two days when they would play. He said: “What are these two days?” They said: “We used to play on these days during the Jaahiliyyah.” The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Allaah has given you instead of them two days that are better than them: the day of al-Adha and the day of al-Fitr.” This hadeeth was classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Abi Dawood
This indicates that festivals are among the characteristics by which nations are distinguished, and it is not permissible to celebrate the festivals of the ignorant and the mushrikeen (polytheists).
The scholars have issued fatwas stating that it is haraam to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
1 –Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (may Allaah have mercy on him) was asked:
In recent times the celebration of Valentine’s Day has become widespread, especially among female students. It is a Christian festival where people dress completely in red, including clothes and shoes, and they exchange red flowers. We hope that you can explain the ruling on celebrating this festival, and what your advice is to Muslims with regard to such matters; may Allaah bless you and take care of you.
He replied:
Celebrating Valentine’s Day is not permissible for a number of reasons.
1-     It is an innovated festival for which there is no basis in Islam.
2-     It promotes love and infatuation.
3-     It calls for hearts to be preoccupied with foolish matters that are contrary to the way of the righteous salaf (may Allaah be pleased with them).
It is not permissible on this day to do any of the things that are characteristic of this festival, whether that has to do with food, drinks, clothing, exchanging gifts or anything else.
The Muslim should be proud of his religion and should not be a weak character who follows every Tom, Dick and Harry. I ask Allaah to protect the Muslims from all temptations, visible and invisible, and to protect us and guide us.
End quote from Majmoo’ Fataawa al-Shaykh Ibn ‘Uthaymeen (16/199)
2 – The Standing Committee was asked: Some people celebrate Valentine’s Day on the fourteenth of February every year. They exchange gifts of red roses and wear red clothes and congratulate one another. Some bakeries make red coloured sweets and draw hearts on them, and some stores advertise products that are especially for this day. What is your opinion on the following:
1-     Celebrating this day
2-     Buying things from the stores on this day
3-     Storekeepers who are not celebrating it selling things that may be given as gifts to people who are celebrating it?
They replied:
The clear evidence of the Qur’aan and Sunnah – and the consensus of the early generations of this ummah – indicates that there are only two festivals in Islam: Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha. Any other festivals that have to do with a person, a group, an event or anything else are innovated festivals, which it is not permissible for Muslims to observe, approve of or express joy on those occasions, or to help others to celebrate them in any way, because that is transgressing the sacred limits of Allaah, and whoever transgresses the sacred limits of Allaah has wronged himself. If the fabricated festival is also a festival of the kuffaar, then the sin is even greater, because this is imitating them and it is a kind of taking them as close friends, and Allaah has forbidden the believers to imitate them and take them as close friends in His Holy Book. And it is proven that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever imitates a people is one of them.” Valentine’s Day comes under this heading because it is an idolatrous Christian festival, so it is not permissible for a Muslim who believes in Allaah and the Last Day to observe it or approve of it or congratulate people on it. Rather he has to ignore it and avoid it, in obedience to Allaah and His Messenger, and so as to keep away from the causes that incur the wrath and punishment of Allaah. It is also haraam for the Muslim to help people to celebrate this or any other haraam festival by supplying any kind of food or drink, or buying or selling or manufacturing or giving or advertising etc., because all of that is cooperating in sin and transgression and is disobedience towards Allaah and His Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him). Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):
“Help you one another in Al‑Birr and At‑Taqwa (virtue, righteousness and piety); but do not help one another in sin and transgression. And fear Allaah. Verily, Allaah is Severe in punishment”
[al-Maa’idah 5:2]
The Muslim must adhere to the Book of Allaah and the Sunnah in all his affairs, especially at times of fitnah when evil is widespread. He should be smart and avoid falling into the misguidance of those who have earned Allaah’s anger and who have gone astray, and the evildoers who have no fear of Allaah and who do not have any pride in being Muslims. The Muslim must turn to Allaah and seek His guidance and remain steadfast in following it, for there is no Guide except Allaah and no one can make a person steadfast but Him. And Allaah is the source of strength. May Allaah send blessings and peace upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions. End quote.
3 – Shaykh Ibn Jibreen (may Allaah preserve him) was asked:
Among our young men and women it has become common to celebrate Valentine’s Day, which is named after a saint who is venerated by the Christians, who celebrate it every year on February 14, when they exchange gifts and red roses, and they wear red clothes. What is the ruling on celebrating this day and exchanging gifts?
He replied:
Firstly: it is not permissible to celebrate these innovated festivals, because it is an innovation for which there is no basis in Islam. It comes under the heading of the hadeeth of ‘Aa’ishah (may Allaah be pleased with her), according to which the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever introduces anything into this matter of ours that is not part of it will have it rejected.”
Secondly: it involves imitating the kuffaar and copying them by venerating that which they venerate and respecting their festivals and rituals, and imitating them in something that is part of their religion. In the hadeeth it says: “Whoever imitates a people is one of them.”
Thirdly: it results in evils and haraam things such as wasting time, singing, music, extravagance, unveiling, wanton display, men mixing with women, women appearing before men other than their mahrams, and other haraam things, or things that are a means that leads to immorality. That cannot be excused by the claim that this is a kind of entertainment and fun. The one who is sincere towards himself should keep away from sin and the means that lead to it.
And he said:
Based on this, it is not permissible to sell these gifts and roses, if it is known that the purchaser celebrates these festivals or will give these things as gifts on those days, so that the seller will not be a partner of the one who does those innovations. And Allaah knows best. End quote.
And Allaah knows best.

Marriage in Islam (Full Explanation)

                                                Bismillaahir-Rahmoonir-Roheem

Marriage is a Sunnah that is strongly recommended. Muslims are encouraged to marry as it is regarded as half of one’s deen. As with everything in life, Islam has given us guidance on how to marry, what to look out for in a potential spouse and who to marry. This article will be focusing on who you cannot marry.
True, there are a lot of fish in the sea, but there are some fish you must not catch! Not to worry, these fish are not many. Knowing who you cannot marry also helps you know your mahram. Mahram are the people you are permanently forbidden from marrying due to blood or marriage ties.
The people Muslims are not allowed to marry are divided into 2 broad groups.
1.      Permanent prohibition
2.      Temporary prohibition
Permanent prohibition
These are the people a Muslim is permanently forbidden from marrying. These are also called his/her mahram. A Muslim woman is allowed to uncover in front of these people and does not have to wear hijab. This category is further sub-divided into 3;
a.       Blood relatives
b.      In-law based relationships
c.       Foster relationships
Blood relatives
These are people prohibited to marry because of the blood relationship with them. Allah prohibited marriage to the following women [1];
·         Mother – this also includes every woman that was a direct cause of your birth like your paternal and maternal grandmothers, great-grandmothers, great great grandmothers and upwards.
·         Sister – this includes your half-sisters and step sisters. Half-sisters are the ones you share a parent with, i.e. you have the same mother or father. While step sisters are the ones you don’t share any parent with e.g. your father married a widow who already had a daughter, you don’t share the same father or mother with that girl so she’s your step sister.
·         Daughter – this includes every woman whose birth was a directly caused by you like your granddaughter, great granddaughter and downwards.
·         Mother’s Sisters (maternal aunts) – this also includes your grandmother’s sisters from both mother and father’s sides (i.e. grandaunts) and upwards.
·         Father’s Sisters (paternal aunts) – this also includes your grandfathers’ sisters from both mother and father’s sides and upwards.
·         Brothers’ daughters (nieces) – this also includes your nieces daughters and downwards.
·         Sisters’ daughters (nieces) – this also includes your nieces daughters and downwards.
In-law Relationships
These are people prohibited to marry because they have marriage ties with some of your family members.
·         Father’s other wives i.e. your step mothers[2]
·         Sons’ wives (daughters-in-law)
·         Wives’ mothers (mothers-in-law)
·         Wives’ daughters from other men (i.e. your step daughters) – this prohibition holds only after consummation with their mothers. If the mother is divorced or dies before the marriage was consummated, her daughter (from another man) is lawful for you to marry.
Foster Relationships
Foster mothers and foster fathers are taken as real mothers and fathers when it comes to marriage laws; hence, all the people listed under the Blood Relativescategory are also listed here.[3] A foster mother is the woman (human being) who breastfed you 5 times while you were below 2 years. While a foster father is the one who caused the milk to flow from that foster mother. The present husband of the woman isn’t always the foster father as she might have re-married after the one who impregnated her (caused the milk to flow) divorced her or died.
‘Aa’ishah narrated: “When the Qur’an was first revealed, the number of breast-feedings that would make a child a relative (mahram) was ten, then this was abrogated and replaced with the number of five which is well-known.”[4]
Umm Salamah said: The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “The only breastfeeding that creates the relationship of mahram is that which fills the stomach from the breast, before weaning.”[5]
During the time of the Prophet (ﷺ) 2 people were married and a slave woman came to say she breastfed both of them. The Prophet (ﷺ) nullified the marriage even though they already had kids. [6]
The daughter of Hamzah (the Prophet’s uncle) became his niece (instead of his cousin) because the same woman breastfed the Prophet and Hamzah. Hence they were like brothers. [7]
In summary, the conditions for foster mother are;
·         She must be a human being, not an animal. If a baby drinks an animal’s milk, the animal does not become its foster mother.
·         The child must be below 2 years. If a husband drinks his wife’s milk, she doesn’t become his foster mother.
·         The suckling must be done a minimum of five known times to the child’s fill. If the child was not satisfied in any of the suckling or was fed less than 5 times, then the woman does not qualify as a foster mother.
Temporary Prohibitions
These are people prohibited to marry temporarily because of some conditions. Once those conditions are removed, marriage to the person becomes lawful.
a.       Wives’ Sisters – Allah makes it forbidden to marry a woman and her sister at the same time [1] i.e. you cannot marry your sister-in-law. But if the woman is divorced or dies, then her sister becomes lawful to marry. This prohibition also extends to her aunts and nieces.
b.      Non-Muslims – Allah has prohibited Muslims from marrying non-Muslims. [8]Once any reverts to Islam, they become lawful to marry. The exception to this are the Jewish and Christian women lawful for Muslim men to marry on the condition that they are virgins. [9]
c.       One who commits zina – Allah has prohibited marrying a Muslim who commits zina. [10] This is temporary until the person repents.
d.      A Muslim man who has 4 wives is temporarily not allowed to marry. Allah has placed the maximum number lawful for a man as 4. If one of his wives dies or is divorced, then he may marry another.
e.       A Muslim in the state of Ihram during Hajj or Umrah is temporarily not allowed to marry till he/she leaves the state of Ihram. This is because the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said “A muhrim must neither marry himself, arrange the marriage of another one, nor should he make the proposal of marriage.” [11]
f.       Every married woman is temporarily forbidden to marry and be married till she is widowed or divorced. [12]
g.      Women in their iddah – Allah has also prohibited women temporarily from marriage till they complete their iddah period. [13]
Now that we know the fish that are not permissible in the sea, every other person apart from all these are permissible for marriage. May Allah grant us spouses that will be the coolness of our eyes. Aammeen.

Magic

Sihr are just words that are said the sahir use knots they use dead thing as well as a lot of other things to make it stronger.
Our treatment is only Quran we use water, oil, incense to make it more powerful
There are 4 ways sihr is made.
1.     Eaten – Eaten sihr are drops they put in food which once eaten become like glue in the stomach. The body will feel there is something strange and the body will attack it with acids until there is burning in the stomach and it leads to an ulcer. This makes the stomach to swell up, hard; it creates all sorts of digestive problem. Nearly all these digestive problems are due to sihr. A normal person should not have any stomach problems unless you eat too much or a person drinks too much alcohol.
When a woman has sihr it will go onto the child as eaten sihr, this can make the child to be handicap but most of the time it makes the child to have bad temper to be disobedient, not obey their parents, not follow their studies, dislike Islam, and also it makes them to be physically weak.
2.     Put in the body – They send the jinn to put the sihr in the body which causes pains in the body and also dis-functioning for e.g. you can’t understand anything at school or whatever you understand you keep forgetting. It can stop the woman from having children.
3.     Symbolic – They take your hair, photo, make knots, put locks ,they take your photo put it in the graveyard or well.
4.      By contact – Most of the times it is walking over sihr it could be by accident or has been put there on purpose. Or it could be put in anything you use.

Differences between Sihr, Miracles and Charisma.

Difference Between Sihr, Miracles and Charisma

According to Al-Mazari, the difference between Sihr, Miracle and Charisma is that sihr is achieved through much efforts, by talking and doing things. Charisma does not require such an effort, and a miracle surpasses charisma in terms of challenge. Tafsir Ibn Kathir : 1/145

According Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar, there is a consensus that sihr only comes from a disrespectful person, and that a charisma does not appear on a disrespectful person. Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar also stated that one should be aware of the character of the person associated with the extraordinary. If, for instance, the person in question adheres to the principle of Shari'a and shuns the serious sins, then the extraordinary acts he performs are classed as charisma; otherwise it is an act of sihr because it comes from one of its categories such as the assistance of demons. Quoted from Rawa i 'u Al-Bayan : 1/85

Warning

People are sometimes puzzled by the fact that although a person may not be a magician, although he may be a serious sinner, an innovator or a tomb-worshipper; and yet extraordinary things can still happen to him. The truth is that the extraordinary things that happen to him are the result of the assistance of demons, who beautify to people this person's bid's so that people follow it and discard the Sunnah.

Methods of cutting nails.

Method of cutting nails...!!

'Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates the way of cutting the nails: FOR THE RIGHT HAND: start of with the index finger, forefinger, ring finger and little finger, then moving onto the LEFT HAND: little finger, ring finger, forefinger, index finger, thumb and lastly the thumb of the right hand. Then to wash the hands after cutting the nails.

Diagrams of hand & feet
EASY METHOD: - Follow the numbering on this picture.

For toe nails - Start with the right foot small toe and proceed until the big toe, then start with the left foot big toe and & conclude with the small toe (Semi-circle). There is no specified way recorded for trimming the nails but it is better to use the same method that Khilal (wiping in between the toes in ablution) is done.

Request: It is requested that you also follow this blessed Sunnah and cut your nails in this manner. The biggest benefit one can gain is that if you teach others the Sunnah and they act upon it then you will gain the reward for this until it is practised and passed on, Insha-Allah!

What to do with them: After cutting the nails and hair of the body, one should collect them all and bury them, since we all are made from soil and thus the hair and nails should be put back to the earth.

The consequence of keeping long nails
1. There will be no blessing in your wealth.
2. You will become poor.
3. Illness will plague you.
4. Allah (The Exalted) and the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace) will be displeased with you.
5. The devil sits on long nails.

Follow the Sunnah and spread the teachings of prophet Muhammad (s.a.w) Jazaka Allah.

The importance of Flour.

Have a bag of flour handy in all our kitchens.

Please read properly: Have a bag of flour handy in all our kitchens and let everyone know where it is.

🔥A woman's experience with burns ...🔥

Some time ago I was cooking some corn and stuck my fork in the boiling water to see if the corn was ready. I missed and my hand went into the boiling water....!!

A friend of mine, who was a Vietnam vet, came into the house, as I was screaming, & asked me if I had some plain old wheat flour...

I pulled out a bag and he stuck my hand in it. He told me to keep my hand in the flour for 10 minutes.

He said, In Vietnam , there was a guy on fire and in their panic, they threw a bag of flour all over him to put the fire out...Well, it not only put the fire out, but he never even had a blister!!!!

... Long story short, I put my hand in the bag of flour for 10 mins, pulled it out and did not even have a red mark or a blister & absolutely NO PAIN.

Now, I keep a bag of flour in the fridge and every time I burn myself. *Cold flour feels even better than room temperature flour.

I use the wheat flour and have never ever had even a red spot/burn mark, or a blister!

I even burnt my tongue once, put the flour on it for about 10 minutes .... the pain was gone and no burn.

Try it . . . Experience a miracle!

Keep a bag of flour in your fridge and you will be happy you did!

Flour has heat absorbant property and also is strong antioxident property. Thus helps in burns patient if apllied within 15 minutes.

Thanks.

The Call to Prayer (Athaan).

Praise be to Allah Almighty

(The Call to Prayer)

Blessings and salutations be upon the best of Creation (Muhammad) Peace be upon him, his family members, all his companions, may Allah bless them all and bless us as well. Aameen

A few words about Athaan (the call to prayer)..

👉Do you know when Salah really starts? Would you say at “Allahu Akbar”? Actually, it starts way before then. It starts with the Athaan! The Prophet says, *“Each one of you is (really) in a state of prayer as he awaits (to perform) the Salah.”* Athaan signals you to prepare yourself for your upcoming meeting with Allah (Salah). It should summon those feelings of humbleness and humility felt when reminded of Allah. Thus, you are already in Salah because you are now in that Salah mindset!

🗣Athaan also expels Satan, since upon hearing it, he flees with anger and rage! Knowing this fact- that he’s no longer there to distract you, should improve your concentration in prayer and help you attain that needed level of humbleness and humility for a beautiful satisfying prayer.

👉Athaan is your chance to augment your Salah rewards that might have been reduced due to deficiencies you could not prevent (i.e. when you drift.) So how do we augment that reward? The Prophet tells us that the Mu’athen (the one who makes the call to prayer) gets the reward of everyone who prays with him. So, for example, if 100 men pray with him, he gets the rewards of these 100 prayers. For us to accumulate a reward similar to this Mu’athen, all we need to do… is repeat the Athaan after him! “Say as they (the Mu’thens) say”- was our prophet’s tip! So imagine if you were repeating the Athaan in Mecca, where millions pray, and where one Salah equals 100,000 in worth! Imagine your rewards then! Such is Allah’s grace and generosity- A small simple act, met in return, with such immense rewards!

Shirk and its categories.

[Shirk [Polytheism] and its categories]

The opposite of Tawheed is Shirk which means in Islamic terminology – the act of associating a partner with Allah.
_________________________________________________
[There are three types of Shirk]

_________________________________________________
[Ash-Shirk Al-Akbar (Major Polytheism)]
_________________________________________________

Major polytheism is to devote any form of worship to anyone other than Allah. Allah will never forgive it, nor will He accept with it any good deeds as Allah the Almighty said in [Qur'an – 4:116]:

''Verily, Allah forgives not (the sin of) setting up partners (in worship) with Him, but He forgives whom He wills sins other than that. And whoever sets up partners in worship with Allah, has indeed strayed far away.''
_________________________________________________

The Almighty also said in [Qur'an – 5:72]:

''And the Messiah (Jesus) said: 'O Children of Israel! Worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord.' Verily, whosoever sets up partners (in worship) with Allah, then Allah has forbidden Paradise to him and the Fire will be his abode. And for the Zalimun (wrongdoers and polytheists) there are no helpers.''
_________________________________________________

He, the Almighty, further said in [Qur'an – 25:23]:

''And We shall turn to whatever deed they (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners etc) did, and We shall make such deeds as scattered floating particles of dust.''
_________________________________________________

The Almighty further said in [Qur'an – 39:65]:

''If you join others in worship with Allah, (then) surely, (all) your deeds will be in vain, and you will certainly be among the losers.''

He, the Almighty, also said in [Qur'an – 6:88]:

''And if they had joined in worship others with Allah, all that they used to do would have been of no benefit to them.''
_________________________________________________

[The major polytheism (Shirk Al-Akbar) has four sub categories]
_________________________________________________

(1)>>> Polytheism in invocation (i.e. supplicating to other than Allah), as He the Almighty said in [Qur'an – 29:65]:

''And when they embark on a ship, they invoke Allah, making their Faith pure for Him only; but when He brings them safely to land, behold, they give a share of their worship to others.''

(2)>>> Polytheism in intention, will and purpose, as it states in

[Qur'an – 11:15, 16]:

''Whosoever desires the life of the world and its glitter, to them We shall pay in full (the wages of) their deeds therein and they will have no diminution therein. They are those for whom there is nothing in the Hereafter but the Fire, and vain are the deeds they did therein. And of no effect is that which they used to do.''

(3)>>> Polytheism in obedience (i.e. showing readiness to comply with the orders of others in disobedience to Allah):

Evidence is Allah's Statement in [Qur'an – 9:31]:

''They (Jews and Christians) took their rabbis and their monks to be their lords besides Allah, (by obeying them in things that they made lawful or unlawful according to their own desires without being ordered by Allah), and (they also took as their Lord) Messiah, son of Mary, while they (Jews and Christians) were commanded (in the Torah and the Gospel) to worship none but One Ilah (God – Allah), none has the right to be worshipped but He. Glorified is He (far above is He) from having the partners they associate.''

-Its interpretation undoubtedly refers to the obedience of religious scholars (Ulama) and other people of knowledge in disobedience to Allah, and not supplicating to them. As the Prophet (Sall Allahu Alayhi Wasalam) explained to Adi Ibn Hatim (R.A) that worship here meant obedience to them in their sinful acts.

(4)>>> Polytheism in love (i.e. showing love to others which is due to Allah alone), as Allah said in [Qur'an – 2:165]:

''And of mankind are some who take (for worship) others besides Allah as rivals (to Allah); they love them as they love Allah.''
_________________________________________________

[Ash-Shirk Al-Asghar (minor polytheism)]
_________________________________________________

The minor polytheism is Riya' (showing off), as Allah says in [Qur'an – 18:110]:

''So whoever hopes for the meeting with his Lord, let him work righteousness and associate none as a partner in the worship of his Lord.''
_________________________________________________

[Ash-Shirk Al-Khafi (invisible polytheism)]
_________________________________________________

The invisible polytheism was explained by the Prophet (Sall Allahu Alayhi Wasalam):

''The invisible polytheism in this Ummah is more hidden than the track of a black ant on a black stone in a dark night.''

-Its expiation according to the Prophet's saying is:

''O Allah! Verily I seek refuge with You against ascribing partners to You knowingly; and I beg Your forgiveness for the sin which I do not know.''

May Allah the Almighty protect us all from associating partners with Him.

Headache is a means of Forgiveness from Allaah

HEADACHE: - Headache is a means of forgiveness and reward.

Abu Said al-Khudri (Radiy'Allahu'anhu) that the Prophet (Sallahu'alayhi'wa'salam) said:

صُداعُ المؤمنِ ، أو شوكةٌ يُشاكُها ، أو شيءٌ يُؤذيه ؛ يرفعُه اللهُ بها يومً القيامةٍ درجةً ، ويُكفِّرُ عنه بها ذنوبَه

“The headache that afflicts the believer, or a thorn that pricks him/her, or anything that harms him/her, Allah will raise him/her a degree on the day of resurrection and expiate his/her sins due to it” [Saheeh Targheeb no. 3434]

Also, not having headaches is a bad sign because the people destined to go to the Hell-fire do not have headaches:

Abu Hurairah (Radiy'Allahu'anhu) said: The Prophet (Sallahu'alayhi'wa'salam) said:

“…Have you ever felt a headache? The man said: What is a headache? He (Sallau'alayhi'wa'salam) said: A vein that beats in the head of a person. The man said: No I have not experienced that ever! The Prophet (Sallahu'alahyhi'wa'salam) said: Whoever would like to see a man from the people of the Hell-fire, then look at this man!”

[Reported in Ibn Hibban and graded Hasan Saheeh by al-Albani in Saheeh Mawaarid no. 580]

Having headaches are a sign of the People of Imaan and the People of Jannah.

Hafidh Ibn Rajab (Rahimahullah) said:

وصداع الرأس من علامات أهل الإيمان وأهل الجنة

“…And headaches are from the signs of the People of Imaan and the People of Jannah..” [Lataaif al-Maa’rif pg. 153]

Then he brings the above Hadith and others.

On the authority of Abu Zayyaat al-Qushairi (Rahimahullah) said: “We entered upon Abu Darda (Radiy'Allahu'anhu) to visit him, when a Bedouin entered upon him. So he said: Where is your Ameer? And Abu Darda was the ameer then. So we said: He is complaining of some pain. The man said: I have not complained of anything or he said: I did not experience a headache ever! Abu Darda (Radiy'Allahu'anhu said: Remove him from me, so he dies from his sins. I do not love that for every pain/sickness that I feel that I am given red camels. For verily, the pain/illness of a believer is an expiation for his sins”

[Reported by Bayhaqi in Shuab al-Imaan no. 9436 and the Muhaqiq of the Book Mukhtaar Ahmad Nadwi graded it Jayyid]

Does prostrating or bowing by way of greeting come under the heading of shirk?

Praise be to Allah
Firstly:
Prostration – and also bowing – is of two types:
1.     Prostration by way of worship
This type of prostration is done by way of expressing humility, submission and worship, and cannot be done for anyone except Allah, may He be glorified and exalted. Whoever prostrates to anyone other than Allah by way of worship has committed an act of major shirk.
2.     Prostration by way of greeting
This is done by way of greeting, showing respect and honouring the person to whom the prostration is done. This kind of prostration was permissible in some of the laws revealed to Prophets before Islam, but then Islam prohibited and forbade it. So whoever prostrates to any created being by way of greeting has done a prohibited act, but he has not fallen into shirk or disbelief.
Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyah said:
Prostration is of two types: prostration by way of pure worship, and prostration by way of honouring and showing respect. As for the former, it can only be done for Allah.
End quote in Majmoo‘ al-Fataawa(4/361)
And he said: The Muslims are unanimously agreed that prostration to anyone other than Allah is prohibited.
End quote from Majmoo‘ al-Fataawa(4/358)
And he said:
The texts of the Sunnah and the consensus of the ummah indicate that it is prohibited to prostrate to anyone other than Allah according to the law brought by our Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), whether by way of greeting or worship, as the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) forbade Mu‘aadh ibn Jabal to prostrate to him when he came from Syrian and prostrated to him by way of greeting.
End quote from Jaami‘ al-Masaa’il(1/25)
Al-Qurtubi said:
With regard to this prostration that is prohibited, the ignorant extreme Sufis have taken it as a custom in their gatherings (when they begin their dhikr and nasheeds), and when they enter upon their shaykhs and pray for forgiveness. So you see one of them, when he is overcome with ecstasy – as they claim – prostrating by putting his forehead to the ground, because of his ignorance, whether he is facing towards the qiblah or otherwise,  out of ignorance on his part. May they be doomed!
End quote from Tafseer al-Qurtubi(1/294)
Secondly:
With regard to the view that prostration to anything other than Allah is shirk in all cases, because prostration in and of itself is an act of worship that cannot be directed to anyone other than Allah, this is a weak view. This is indicated by the following:
1.
Allah commanded the angels to prostrate to Adam; if merely prostrating was shirk, Allah would not have commanded them to do that.
At-Tabari said: “…then fall (you) down prostrating yourselves unto him” [al-Hijr 15:29] – this refers to the prostration of greeting and honour, not the prostration of worship.
Ibn al-‘Arabi said: The ummah is unanimously agreed that the angels’ prostration to Adam was not a prostration of worship.
End quote from Ahkaam al-Qur’an(1/27)
Ibn Hazm az-Zaahiri said: There is no difference of opinion among any of the Muslims that their prostration to Allah, may He be exalted, was a prostration of worship, and their prostration to Adam was a prostration of greeting and respect.
End quote from al-Fasl fi’l-Milal wa’l-Ahwa’ wa’n-Nihal (2/129).
2.
Allah has told us about the prostration of Ya‘qoob and his sons to Yoosuf (peace be upon him). If it were shirk, the Prophets of Allah would not have done it.
We cannot say that this was part of the religious teachings of those who came before us, because shirk has never been permitted in the teachings of any of the Prophets at all, and the teachings and symbols of Tawheed (affirmation of the oneness of Allah) have not changed from the time of Adam until the time of our Prophet Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him).
At-Tabari said: Ibn Zayd said concerning the verse, and they fell down before him prostrate” [Yoosuf 12:100]:
That was a prostration by way of honouring and showing respect, as the angels prostrated to Adam by way of honouring and showing respect; it was not a prostration of worship.
Rather with regard to the one who said that their prostration was a greeting among them, what he meant was that it was a custom on their part and was not by way of worshipping one another, and what may support this view is the fact that this custom continued to be practised by people for a long time, and was not done by way of worshipping one another.
End quote from Jaami‘ al-Bayaan(13/356)
Ibn Katheer said:
This was allowed in their laws and teachings: when they greeted an elder, they would prostrate to him. This remained permissible from the time of Adam until the teachings of ‘Eesa (peace be upon him), but this is prohibited for this ummah, and prostration is only for the Lord, may He be glorified and exalted.
End quote from Tafseer al-Qur’an al-‘Azeem (4/412)
Al-Qaasimi said:
What there can be no doubt about is that it was not a prostration of worship or humility; rather it was a prostration of respect only, beyond a doubt.
End quote from Mahaasin at-Ta’weel(6/250)
3.
Mu‘aadh prostrated to the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) when he returned from Syria. If it were shirk, the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) would have explained that to him, but the most that happened in that regard was that he explained to him that it was not permissible to prostrate to him.
It was narrated that ‘Abdullah ibn Abi Awfa said: when Mu‘aadh ibn Jabal came from Syria, he prostrated to the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him, who said, “What is this, O Mu‘aadh?” He said, I went to Syria and saw them prostrating to their archbishops and patriarchs, and I wanted to do that for you. The Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him ) said, “Do not do that. If I were to command anyone to prostrate to anyone other than Allah, I would have commanded women to prostrate to their husbands. By the One in Whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, no woman can fulfil her duty towards Allah until she fulfils her duty towards her husband.”
Narrated by Ibn Maajah (1853); classed as hasan by al-Albaani
Shaykh al-Islam said: It is well known that he did not say: If I were to command anyone to be worshipped.
End quote from Majmoo‘ al-Fataawa(4/360)
Adh-Dhahabi said:
Do you not see that the Sahaabah, in their great love for the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), said: Shouldn’t we prostrate to you? And he said no. If he had given them permission, they would have prostrated to him by way of honouring and showing respect, not by way of worship, as the brothers of Yoosuf (peace be upon him) prostrated to Yoosuf.
Something similar may be said about the Muslim prostrating to the grave of the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) by way of veneration and respect: he does not commit an act of disbelief thereby; rather he is sinning. So he should be told that this is not allowed, and the same applies to praying facing towards the grave.

It is proven in some hadiths that some animals prostrated to the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him). If merely prostrating constituted shirk, this would not have happened in the case of the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him).
Shaykh al-Islam said:
Animals used to prostrate to the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him), and animals do not worship any but Allah, so how can it be said that prostrating to something implies worship thereof?

“Mere prostration” is one of the shar‘i rulings which may change from one set of laws to another, unlike matters of Tawheed which is to be established in the heart; it is fixed and does not change.
Shaykh al-Islam said:
With regard to humility and devotion in the heart, acknowledgement of Lordship and servitude, this can never be to anyone except Allah alone, may He be glorified and exalted, and if directed towards anyone other than Him, it is prohibited and invalid.
As for prostration, it is something that has to do with laws and decrees, because Allah, may He be exalted, has commanded us to prostrate to Him. If He had commanded us to prostrate to any of His creation other than Him, we would have prostrated to that other one, in obedience to Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, if He wanted us to venerate the one to whom we prostrated. If He had not obliged us to prostrate, it would not be obligatory to do it at all.
The angels’ prostration to Adam was an act of worship to Allah, in obedience to Him and as a means of drawing closer to Him. For Adam it was an honour and a token of respect.
The prostration of the brothers of Yoosuf to him was a form of greeting. Do you not see that when his parents prostrated to him by way of greeting, Yoosuf did not object to that.

Differentiating between prostration by way of greeting and prostration by way of worship is the view of the majority of scholars of different madhhabs.
Fakhr ad-Deen az-Zayla‘i said:
What they do of kissing the ground before the scholars is haraam, and the one who does that and the one who approves of it are sinning, because it resembles idol worship.
As-Sadr ash-Shaheed stated that he does not become a disbeliever by doing this prostration, because what he intends thereby is a greeting.
End uqote from Tabyeen al-Haqaa’iq(6/25)
Ibn Nujaym al-Hanafi said: Prostration to tyrants constitutes disbelief, if what is intended thereby is worship, but not if what is intended thereby is a greeting, according to the view of the majority.
End quote from al-Bahr ar-Raa’iq(5/134).
An-Nawawi said:
What many of the ignorant do of prostrating before shaykhs is definitely haraam, in all cases, whether it is facing towards the qiblah or otherwise, and whether the intention is to prostrate to Allah, may He be exalted, or it is done out of heedlessness. In some cases it constitutes disbelief or almost does. May Allah, the Most Generous, pardon us.
End quote from al-Majmoo‘ Sharh al-Muhadhdhab (4/69)
Shihaab ad-Deen ar-Ramli said:
Merely prostrating before the shaykhs does not mean that venerating the shaykh is like venerating Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, in the sense that he is worshipped. It only constitutes disbelief if that is the intention.

Ar-Ruhaybaani said:
Prostrating to rulers or the dead with the intention of worship constitutes disbelief, and this is agreed upon unanimously by the Muslims. Greeting a human being by prostrating to him is a grave major sin.
End quote from Mataalib Ooli an-Nuha(6/278)
Ash-Shawkaani said:
It is essential to clarify this by noting that if this prostration is done with the intention of affirming the Lordship of the one to whom one prostrates, then by prostrating in this manner he has ascribed a partner to Allah, may He be glorified and exalted, and affirmed that there is another god with Him.
But if his intention is only to show respect, as happens often with those who enter upon foreign (non-Arab) kings, where they kiss the ground in veneration of the king, this does not constitute disbelief at all. All scholars are agreed that labelling a specific person as a disbeliever is a very serious matter and is not to be taken lightly.
End quote from as-Sayl al-Jaraar(4/580)
Shaykh Muhammad ibn Ibraaheem said:
Bowing when greeting is haraam, if the intention is to greet the person. If it is intended by way of worship, then it constitutes disbelief.
End quote from Fataawa wa Rasaa’il ash-Shaykh Muhammad ibn Ibraaheem Aal ash-Shaykh (1/109)
Shaykh ‘Abd al-‘Azeez ‘Abd al-Lateef said:
it is well-known that prostration by way of worship, which is based on humility, submission and veneration to Allah alone, is part of Tawheed (affirmation of the Oneness of Allah), to which all the Messengers called. If it is directed to anyone other than Allah, then it is shirk and ascription of rivals to Allah.
But if a person prostrates to his father or a scholar and the like, and his intention is to offer a greeting and show respect, then this comes under the heading of prohibited matters that are less than shirk. But if the intention is to show submission and humility, then this constitutes shirk.
End quote from Nawaaqid al-Eemaan al-Qawliyyah wa’l-‘Amaliyyah (p. 278)

To sum up all of the above: prostration to anyone other than Allah does not constitute disbelief unless it is done by way of worship. But if it is done by way of greeting, it is a major sin but it is not disbelief.

And Allah knows best.
