The Explanation on Understanding of Ovulation and Menstrual Cycle.

MENSTRUAL CYCLE AND OVULATION PERIOD.....

_Matured minds only (long but understandable)_
Most girls (even married ones) don't understand this because of much heavy
grammars used in talking about/teaching it and we don't listen to our body too
@ times........

MENSTRUAL PERIOD:

The time blood flows
out of your vagina which you use pad.

MENSTRUAL CYCLE:

How many days it takes
to see another blood in the month.

Example, if you saw your period last month June 11th & it came yesterday 10th July 2017...you've 30days Cycle (counting from 11 June to 10July).

NOTE:We were made to believe its 28days
cycle......that's a lie, different women different cycles ranging from 21-35days.

OVULATION PERIOD:

Forget any other heavy grammars..

This is time of getting pregnant fast without
stress, this is two weeks after your period or
two weeks before the next period.

Here's a simple way to calculate your
ovulation period(unsafe period)

1. From the first day you see the blood of your period.

2. Pick up a calendar and count 15days including the first day of the blood stain.

3. Mark the 15th day with a pen (circle it).

4. Mark 3 days before the 15th day

5. Mark 3 days after the 15th day

6. You will notice you have 7 days marked.

_These 7 days are your_

_ovulation/fertile days_

_also known as unsafe period._

Meaning if you have sex on any of these days then you have 98% chances of being
pregnant.

7. Do these every month and try and abide by these rules

EVERY OTHER DAY IS YOUR SAFE PERIOD

For example:

1. If your period is today 11th July, 2017

2. 15 days after the first day of the blood stain will be on 25th of this July too (2weeks after) counting from 11th.

3. 15th day is on the 25th July 2017.

4. 3days before the 15th day which are 22,23,24.

5. 3days after 25th July 2017 which are 26,27,28.

6. 22th - 28th July(7days) is when you are ovulating and it's your fertile period.

*******

Don't forget that these 7days is to
remind you that Sperm stays in the female
body for up-to 3 days(a week), any sexual
contact in between ovulation period will
form something that has ears, eyes etc
......................

_Now, if you want to have a_ _baby girl, have sex between_ _3days before ovulation (22-_
_24) 2017._

For baby boy will be 25 (main ovulation day)
and 3days after 25th

.....................................

THESE ARE MAJOR SIGNS THAT WILL TELL YOU, YOUR OVULATION IS AROUND.........

You don't need a doctor, just relax after two weeks you will feel the following...........

1.Headache

2.Body temperature
rises(sometimes you
touch a girl and her body is hot but she is not sick)

3.Dizziness(feeling of tiredness and sleepiness )

4.Breast tenderness/size increases just like when you are menstruating.

5.Increased sex drive(sugar body)
6.Light cramping or pain on one side of the pelvis
7.Abdominal bloating.
8.Heightened sense of smell, taste or vision (you eat more too).
9.Vagina mucus becomes slippery(if you notice such, put it in between fingers...it
stretches like thick catarrh or snail mucus...colorless just like egg whites.
............................

N/B:The instance I gave here is for ladies
with 30days cycle. And someone who saw
her period this month July 2017. If yours is 28 then it's 14days instead of 15days

**********

N/B: Anytime you have headache without a
cause check back when your period arrived,
nothing to worry about just get maltina and
peak milk mix both, drink and relax.. .......stop
rushing to pharmacist always on issues that
can be naturally handled.

Drugs are not
always good on u girls.

From this moment u
understood ovulation problems, stay off
drug............You can take paracetamol only.

MEN, read and educate your Wives, some
Mothers don't know this, she can use this
method as a form of birth control than pills.

GUYS, help your sisters at home.

Wallaahu A'alam.

Thanks

The Unexplainable Power

THE POWER OF I AM SORRY.

I am sorry, a short but mighty sentence!

If you wish to live long, don't joke with this short sentence, I am sorry. Do you know how many people who had gone to early grave because they neglected the therapeutic power of I am sorry.

Single sorry can stop a war, n prevents millions of men, women including children from dying!

Most of the troubles in most homes are heightened because wives are too big to say I am sorry to their husbands and you can trust the ego of  husbands in saying same to their wives.

Quarrel lingers between friends because no party wants to say I am sorry. Each says or asks, why should I be the first to say I am sorry? He or she would beat his or her chest and utter the ego phrase, a whole me!

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the part of the world where saying i am sorry is a hard nut to crack while curses are easily unleashed.

Welcome to the part of the world where people refer to a person who says I am sorry in a midst of a rift as a weaker sex: one who is not man enough; one who is foolish.

Welcome to Africa where saying i am sorry is tougher than forcing a donkey to pass  through a needle hole.

All of us are victims of this discussion. We have lost valuable assets, money and even lives because of this cheap and affordable sentence I am sorry. It simply cost only a breath of speech.

Have you ever wondered why domestic violence is less pronounced in the western world? It is simply because they understand the efficacy of I am sorry.

Husbands say it to their wives and even children whenever they err, wives and children do the same  and life goes on fine.

Friends, this is simply a piece to encourage us to cultivate  a habit of saying I am sorry. It is difficult but readily affordable.

Learn how to say I AM SORRY even if you are right.

The Ten Accursed Women

THE TEN ACCURSED WOMEN

The following are the ten sinful women or those
women who are accursed and who will be
removed from the mercy of Allaah ﺗﻌﺎﻟﻰ:

1. Tattooing: the one who does it and the one
who gets it done.

2 Plucking the eyebrows:

The doers and the
one who gets it done.

3. Artificially creating space between the teeth
to look beautiful: the doers and the one who
gets it done.

Source (Hadith): ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Mas’ood said: I
heard the Messenger of Allah saying,

❝Allah has cursed the woman who does tattoos
and the one who has them done, the woman who
plucks eyebrows (al-naamisah) and the one who
has it done (al-mutanammisah), and the one who
files her teeth for the purpose of beauty, altering
the creation of Allaah.❞
(Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5931; Muslim, 2125)

4. Adding false hair: the provider of false hair
and the one who gets it done.
Source (Hadith): Narrated Ibn `Umar and Abu
Hurairah :
The Prophet ﷺ has cursed the
lady who lengthens her hair artificially and the
one who gets her hair lengthened, and also the
lady who tattoos (others) and the one who gets
herself tattooed.

(Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (5933, 5934, 5937, 5940,
5942, 5947, ) and Saheeh Muslim (5298, 5300)
and also reported on the authority of `Aaishah)
5. The woman whose husband is angry at her:
Source (Hadith): Narrated Abu Hurairah:
The Prophet said,
❝If a woman spends the night deserting her
husband's bed (does not sleep with him), then
the angels send their curses on her till she
comes back (to her husband).❞
(Saheeh Buhari (3237, 5193, 5194) and Saheeh
Muslim (3366, 3368)
*6. Those who imitate men:
Source (Hadith): Narrated Ibn `Abbaas: Allah’s
Messenger ﷺ cursed those men
who are in the similitude (assume the manners)
of women and those women who are in the
similitude (assume the manners) of men.
(Saheeh al-Bukhaaree (5885))
. Those Women who are Ungrateful to their
Husband:
Narrated Ibn 'Abbas:
The Prophet said,

❝I was shown the Hell-fire and that the majority
of its dwellers were women who were
ungrateful.❞

It was asked, ❝Do they disbelieve in Allah?❞ (or
are they ungrateful to Allah?
The prophet replied,
❝They are ungrateful to their husbands and are
ungrateful for the favors and the good
(charitable deeds) done to them. If you have
always been good to one of them and then she
sees something in you (not of her liking), she will
say, 'I have never received any good from you.❞
(Saheeh al- Bukhaaree Vol. 7 Hadith no.5197)
*8. Those Women who wear Perfume and go out
(to the market or mosque):*
It was narrated from Abu Moosa (Radiyyallahu
Anhu) that the Prophet said,
❝If a woman puts on perfume and passes by
people so that they can smell her fragrance, then
she is such and such,❞
And he (Salalahu Alayhi Wasalam) spoke sternly
- meaning an adulteress (zaaniyah).
(Narrated by Abu Dawood (4173) and al-Tirmidhi
(2786); classed as saheeh by Ibn Daqeeq al-Eid
in al-Iqtiraah (126) and by Shaykh al-Albaani in
Saheeh al-Tirmidhi)
N.B : It is not permissible for women to put on
perfume, whether she is going to the mosque or
anywhere else; rather it is narrated that women
are specifically forbidden to use perfume when
going to the mosque.
Source (Hadith):
It was narrated that Zaynab, the wife of ‘Abd-
Allah ibn Mas‘ood (may Allah be pleased with her
and her husband) said:
The Messenger of Allaah said to us,
❝If one of you (women) wants to go to the
mosque, let her not put on perfume.❞
(Saheeh Muslim (443))
*9. Women making a wanton display of
themselves (Tabarruj) and showing their charms
and not adhering to correct Islamic hijab and
noble Islamic manners.*
*10. Those Women who pile their hair on top of
their heads(camel hump hijab), they will not see
Paradise or smell its fragrance:*
Narrated Abu Hurayrah (Radiyyallahu Anhu) that
the Prophet ﷺ said:
❝There are two types of the people of Hell whom
I have not seen: men with whips like the tails of
cattle with which they strike the people, and
women who are clothed but naked, walking with
an enticing gait, with something like the humps
of camels on their heads.
They will not enter Paradise nor even smell its
fragrance, and its fragrance can be smelled from
such and such a distance.❞
(Saheeh Muslim)
Al-Nawawi said concerning the meaning of this
passage: “clothed yet naked” means that they
will uncover part of their bodies to show their
beauty, so they will be clothed yet naked.
And it was said that they will wear thin clothes
which shows what is beneath them, so they will
be clothed yet virtually naked.
My prayer is that may majority of our women
who fall into the category of accursed women
not die in this state by Allah's will Aameen . The
consequences are grave but they do not seem to
know. Allah's aid is sought

Could this be you?

COULD THIS BE YOU?

He called his friend;
And told him: "I'm in need of money, my mom is sick and I have no money for her treatment."

His friend said: " Alright my dear friend, just call me later after Devotion."

He called him but his phone was switched off.

He kept calling over and over again, until he got tired.

And went to search for another friend who can help him with the treatment fee.

But he couldn't find anyone who can help.

He returned back to home and found a bag of medications near his mother's pillow and she was sleeping.

He asked his brother, the brother told him: "your friend came and collected the prescriptions and brought these medicines, he just went out not long ago".

He smiled and with tears in his eyes he went out to look for his friend, and when he found him; he asked him : "where have you been, I have been calling you since but your phone was switched off..?"

The friend replied: "I sold my phone and bought the medications for your mom"

A FRIEND IN NEED IS A FRIEND INDEED.

Again l ask.....

COULD THIS BE YOU?

The Final Words of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W)

Last Words of Nabi Kareem (sullalahu alayhi wassalam)
Read it, Once !!!

Suddenly, there was a person, he said salaam. 'May I come
in?' he asked. But Fatimah (radhi allahu ta'alg anha) did not
allow him to enter the room. 'I'm sorry, my father is ill,' said
Fatimah (radhi allahu ta'ala nha), turned her body back and
closed the door.
She went back to her father who had opened his eyes and
asked Fatimah (radhi allahu ta'ala nha), 'Who was he, my
daughter?'

'I don't know, my father. It was the first time for me to see
him,' Fatimah (radhi allahu ta'ala nha) said gently.
Then, Rasulullah(sullalahu alayhi wassalam) looked at his
daughter with trembled look, as if he wanted to reminisce
about every part of her daughter's face.

'Know one thing! He is who erases the temporary pleasure;
heis who separates the companionship in the world. He is
the death angel,' said Rasulullah (sullalahu alayhi
wassalam).

Fatimah(radhi allahu ta'ala anha) bore the bomb of her cry.
The death angel came towards him, But Rasulullah(sull
alahu alayhi wassalam) asked why Jibril
(alayhisalam) did not come along with him.

Then, Jibril
(alayhisalam) was called.
Jibril (alayhislam) was ready in the sky to welcome the soul
of Habibullah and the
leader of the earth.

'O Jibril, explain me about my rights in
front of ALLAH?' Rasulullah (sullalahu alayhi wassalam)
asked with a weakest voice.
'The doors of sky have opened, the angels are waiting for
your soul.'
'All jannats open widely waiting for you,'
Jibril (alayhisalam) said.
But, in fact, all this did not make Rasulullah (sullalahu alayhi
wassalam) relieved, his eyes were still full of worry.
'You are not happy to hear this news?' asked Jibril
(alayhisalam).

'Tell me about the destiny of my people in future?'
'Don't worry, O Rasul ALLAH (sullalahu alayhi wassalam).
I heard ALLAH telling me: 'I make jannat haram for every
one, except the people of Muhammad (sullalahu alayhi
wassalam) who are inside it,' Jibril (alayhisalam) said.
It became closer and closer, the time for
Malaekat Izrail (alayhisalam) to do his work.

Slowly, Rasulullah's (sullalahu alayhi wassalam) soul was
pulled.
It was seemed that the body of Rasulullah (sullalahu alayhi
wassalam) was full of sweat; the nerves of his neck became
tight.

'Jibril (alayhisalam), how painful this sakaratul maut is!'
Rasulullah(sullalahu alayhi wassalam) uttered a groan
slowly.

Fatimah (radhi allahu ta'ala anha) closed her eyes, Ali (radhi
allahu ta'ala anho) sat beside her bowed deeply and Jibril
(alayhisalam) turned his face back.

'Am I repugnant to you that you turn your face back o
Jibril?'(alayhisalam) Rasulullah(sullalahu alayhi wassalam)
asked the Deliverer of
Wahy.

'Who is the one who could see the Habibullah in his
condition of sakaratul
maut,' Jibril(alayhisalam) said.
Not for a while, Rasulullah(sullalahu alayhi wassalam)
uttered a groan because of unbearable pain.

'O ALLAH, how great is this sakaratul maut.
Give me all these pains, don't give it to my people.'

The body of Rasulullah (sullahu alayhi wassalam) became
cold, his feet and chest did not move anymore. His lips
vibrated as if he wanted to say something, Ali (radhi allahu
ta'ala anho) took his ear close to Rasulullah(sullahu alayhi
wassalam).

'Uushiikum bis shalati, wa maa malakat aimanuku - take
care of the saalat and take care the weak people among
you.'

Outside the room, there were cries shouted each other,
sahabah held each other.
Fatimah (radhi allahu ta'alaanha) closed her face with her
hands and, again, Ali (radhi allahu ta'ala anho) took his ear
close to Rasulullah's mouth which became bluish.
'Ummatii, ummatii, ummatii?' - 'My people, my people, my
people.' And the life of the noble man ended.

Could we love each other like him?

Allahumma salle 'ala Muhammad wa baarik wa salim
'alaihi.

How deep is Rasulullah's (sullalahu alayhi wassalam) love
to us.

Ma'a Salaam

The Holy Chest ( Taabut)

"Bismillahir Rahmannir Raheem""Al-Hamdu Lillaahi Rabbil 'Aalameen was Salaatu was- Salaamu 'Alaa Sayidinaa Muhammadin wa Aalihi wa Asabihi Ajma 'een (tauheed- risalat- ahkirat and islam-iman-ihsan)
Al-Qurtubi (in his Tafsir vol.3 p.247) and Ibn Katheer (in his Al-Bidayah vol.1 p.8),
write that the Jews, before embarking on a battle, would put this Chest in front of them and Pray, and they would then be victorious through the Barakah of that Holy Chest! Ibn Katheer (in his Tafsir vol. p.313) narrates that this Holy Chest (Tabut), carried respectfully by the very Mala'ika of Allah, contained the Sandals, Clothes, Sticks and other blessed Relics of Nabi Musa and Nabi Harun, `alayhi-s-salam.One need not to think that if the Relics of the Prophets of Bani Israel are so Honourable and Blessed in the Eyes of Allah, how Honourable and Blessed then are the things related to The Master of all Prophets, Muhammad, sall-Allahu `alayhi wa sallam!!!
Summary:The Holy Quran clearly supports the Veneration of the Relics of the Nabis and that they are a source of security and Barakah..

All the Sahabah always sought Tabarruk from any object connected to the pious. Nabi Muhammad, sall-Allahu `alayhi wa sallam, was first and foremost in teaching us to receive blessing from him as illustrated by the fact that He distributed his Hair and Wudu water.

It is important to note that the learned 'Ulama such as Imam Ahmad bin Hanbal, radi Allahu `anh, and Imam Nawawi, radi Allahu `anh, etc. approved of the concept of Tabarruk. Maybe our contemporary local 'uluma are more learned than them?

To those who say that only Allah, subhanaHu wa Ta`ala, gives Barakah - not people, we agree, but we hold that people are able to share the Barakah that Allah, subhanaHu wa Ta`ala, gives them. All Barakah comes from Allah, subhanaHu wa Ta`ala: the Barakah of the Qu'ran, of Islam, of the Ka'bah, of Madinah, of voluntary charity, of Zamzam water.Every Muslim knows that these are only "Means" and "Attractors" and that the real Source of Barakah is only Allah, subhanaHu wa Ta`ala.
If anyone wants to proclaim a limit upon Allah, subhanaHu wa Ta`ala, and His Barakah by saying that Allah, subhanaHu wa Ta`ala, cannot bestow Barakah upon individuals and objects whom He wants to, that person has a serious misunderstanding of the Attributes of Allah, subhanaHu wa Ta`ala.

Allah (subhanu wa taala) says in the Holy Qur'an about the qabr of the munafiq (hypocrite): "do not stand at his grave" ( Wa la Taqum ala Qabrihi   ). From this the `Ulama have deduced that we should visit the graves of the mu'minin, i.e. our Muslim brothers and sisters..

Also, it is narrated in Sahih Muslim, Tirmidhi, Abu Dawud, Nasai and Musnad Ahmad (Bab al-Jana'iz) that Nabi Muhammadﷺ said:"I had previously forbidden you to visit graves, but I now permit you to visit them, for it will remind you of the Akhira."Even the Nabi Muhammad ﷺ used to visit the graves of his companions who had passed away at that time.

It is narrated in the six authentic compilations of Hadith that the Nabi Muhammad ﷺ used to regularly visit the graveyard of Madinah, Jannatul-Baqi and make Du`a there (Muslim and Tirmidhi).

Al-Bayhaqi, narrates that he used to visit the graveyard of the martyrs of Uhud annually (Ala r'a s kulli Hawl). So, besides merely visiting the graves, in some cases, the Nabi Muhammad ﷺ, also did so at specific periodic intervals, e.g. annual commemoration, for visiting certain graves, as is the custom of many Muslims all over the world today.

We also know that the Nabi Muhammad ﷺ visited the Jannat al-Mua'lla graveyard in Makkah, where his dear wife Sayyidah Khadijah is buried and called the whole place a blessed graveyard "Ni'm al-Maqbarah Hazihi" .Narrated by al-Bazzar.

Imam Muslim narrates that the Prophet ﷺ even visited his honourable mother's grave, which is in a place between Makkah and Madinah. He cried there and made everybody else also cry.
Bayhaqi narrates in Shu'ab al-Iman that the Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever visits the grave of his parents or the grave of one of them, every Friday, he will be forgiven and his name will be written among the pious ones"(Man zaara qabra abawayhi au ahadihima fi kulli Jum'ah, ghufira lahu wa kutiba barran). If visiting the graves of one's parents can result in such a blessing, what about visiting the graves of the esteemed friends of Allah (subhanu wa taala)?
It is narrated in Sharhus Sudoor by al-Imam al-Suyuti that Nabi Muhammad ﷺsaid that when you visit the graveyard, you should read Suratul-Ikhlas, Suratut-Takathur and Suratul-Fatiha, and present the reward of the recitations as a gift to the inhabitants of the graves. Nabi Muhammadﷺ explains that these souls will then make du'a for you, asking Allah (subhanu wa taala) to forgive you and bless you.So this then is a command of the Nabi Muhammad ﷺ. We learn from this Hadith that the souls of the departed have the ability to make Du'a for the living, asking Allah (subhanu wa taala) to help the living who are visiting them.

In another Hadith in (Kanzul Ummal by al-Imam al-Muttaqi) it is narrated by Sayyidina 'Ali (r) that the Nabi Muhammad ﷺ said: "Whoever goes to a graveyard or passes by a graveyard and recites surat al-Ikhlas eleven times and gives the thawab (reward) of the recital to the dead buried there, will receive the same thawab for it as the dead people. In fact the Nabi Muhammad ﷺ is encouraging us to recite surat al-Ikhlas and present the thawab of  it as a gift to the dead when we visit them.
When I want to talk to Allah I say prayers and when I want that he talk to me I recite quran- Hazrath Ali(ra)

Thanks.

Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari is chosen by Allah to host Rasulullah

On Friday morning after Rasulullah (SAW) migrated to Medina, the Prophet (Peace be upon him), sent for Bani An-Najjar, his maternal uncles, to come and escort him and Abu Bakr to Madinah . He rode towards the new headquarters amidst the cordial greetings of his Madinese followers who had lined his path. He halted at a place in the vale of Banu Salim and there he performed his Friday prayer with a hundred others. Meanwhile the tribes and families of Madinah , the new name for Yathrib and a short form of 'The Messenger's Madinah (City)', came streaming forth, and vied with one another in inviting the noble visitor to their homes. The girls of the Madinese used to chant beautiful verses of welcome rich in all meanings of obedience and dutifulness to the new Messenger.

Though not wealthy, every Ansar (Helper) was wholeheartedly eager and anxious to receive the Messenger in his house. It was indeed a triumphal procession. Around the camel of Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his immediate followers, rode the chiefs of the city in their best raiment and in glittering armour, everyone saying: "Alight here O Messenger of Allah, abide by us." Muhammad (Peace be upon him) used to answer everyone courteously and kindly: "This camel is commanded by Allah, wherever it stops, that will be my abode."

The camel moved onward with slackened rein, reached the site of the Prophetic Mosque and knelt down. He did not dismount until it rose up again, went on forward, turned back and then returned to kneel down in the very former spot. Here, he alighted in a quarter inhabited by Banu Najjar, a tribe related to the Prophet (Peace be upon him) from the maternal side. In fact, it was his wish to honour his maternal uncles and live among them. The fortunate host, Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari, stepped forward with unbounded joy for the Divine blessing appropriated to him, welcomed the Noble Guest and solicited him to enter his house.

Are you ready for your turn?

He was a student, probably in his early twenties. I didn't know his name--I really didn't care. All I know is he was going for a lay-up while playing basketball, lost his balance and fell on the ground--flat on his back.

We thought he would shake it off and continue the game--so no one really cared. To everyone's surprise, he never got up. At first a few people on his team (later everyone) went up to him but he just wouldn't reply.

CPR did no good. The ambulance personnel couldn't save him from dying. The result at the ER was no better. HE WAS DEAD!

As I came home tonight, I thought to myself, it could have been me going up for that lay-up. It is very possible that I could be laying in the cold city morgue, right this minute, as I type this e-mail.

Am I ready to die? Did I communicate with Allah today? Did I perform my daily prayers? Did I seek the pleasure of Allah?

Did I treat my parents and family with respect and love? Did I give any at all in charity (sadaqa) today? How many times did I remember Allah and recount His name?

The entire day I made time to go to school, check my e-mail, read the news, chat with friends, watch TV, play basketball.......but did I even once say "Astagfirullah"? Did I ask Allah to forgive the sins that I've committed today? NO! Not once.

Did I say "Alhamdulillah" other than in my daily prayers? NO! Not once my friends. Would you like to know why? Because I was too caught up with myself and my daily activities.

Well, guess what. I could have lost my life during a lay-up in a basketball game and what do I have with me? Not a thing. Nothing that I did today do I get to bring with me to the grave. Nothing.

A few words that I could have uttered were the only things that I could have brought with me. A few words that would've taken a few seconds of concentration out of the 24 hrs. that was allotted to me.

A few cents in charity instead of cold drinks and candy bars could have saved my soul. But I insisted to continue with my careless attitude. Thank God it wasn't my turn to go, because I sure wasn't ready.

Now I close my eyes and say Alhamdulillah. Now I look back and say Astagfirullah. Now I have a different attitude. Now, I want to prepare for my turn.

Did you perform your prayers today? Did you give in charity and love? Did you ask for forgiveness yet? Do you care? I'm asking because I don't want to see you fall, knowing you aren't ready for your turn.

Are you ready for your turn?

May the Peace and Mercy of Allah be upon us all.

The Files of your life

In that place between wakefulness and dreams, I found myself in a room. There were no distinguishing features save for the one wall covered with small indexcard files. They were like the ones in libraries that list titles by author or subject in alphabetical order. But these files, which stretched from floor to ceiling and seemingly endlessly in either direction, had very different headings. As I drew near the wall of files, the first to catch my attention was one that read "People I Have Liked". I opened it and began flipping through the cards. I quickly shut it, shocked to realize that I recognized the names written on each one.

And then without being told, I knew exactly where I was.

This lifeless room with its small files was a crude catalog system for my life. Here were written the actions of my every moment, big and small, in a detail my memory couldn't match. A sense of wonder and curiosity, coupled with horror, stirred within me as I began randomly opening files and exploring their content. Some brought joy and sweet memories; others a sense of shame and regret so intense that I would look over my shoulder to see if anyone was watching.

A file named "Friends" was next to one marked "Friends I Have Betrayed". The titles ranged from the mundane to the outright weird. "Books I Have Read", "Lies I Have Told", "Comfort I Have Given", "Jokes I Have Laughed At". Some were almost hilarious in their exactness: "Things I've Yelled at My Brothers." Others I couldn't laugh at: "Things I Have Done in My Anger", "Things I Have Muttered Under My Breath at My Parents". I never ceased to be surprised by the contents. Often there were many more cards than I expected. Sometimes fewer than I hoped.

I was overwhelmed by the sheer volume of the life I had lived. Could it be possible that I had the time in my 30 years to write each of these thousands or even millions of cards? But each card confirmed this truth. Each was written in my own handwriting. Each signed with my signature.

When I pulled out the file marked "Songs I Have Listened To", I realized the files grew to contain their contents. The cards were packed tightly, and yet after two or three yards, I hadn't found the end of the file. I shut it, shamed, not so much by the quality of music, but more by the vast amount of time I knew that file represented.

When I came to a file marked "Lustful Thoughts", I felt a chill run through my body. I pulled the file out only an inch, not willing to test its size, and drew out a card. I shuddered at its detailed content. I felt sick to think that such a moment had been recorded.

An almost animal rage broke on me. One thought dominated my mind: "No one must ever see these cards! No one must ever see this room! I have to destroy them!" In an insane frenzy I yanked the file out. Its size didn't matter now. I had to empty it and burn the cards. But as I took it at one end and began pounding it on the floor, I could not dislodge a single card. I became desperate and pulled out a card, only to find it as strong as steel when I tried to tear it. Defeated and utterly helpless, I returned the file to its slot. Leaning my forehead against the wall, I let out a long, self-pitying sigh.

And then I saw it.

The title bore "People that I Have Taught About Allah". The handle was brighter than those around it, newer, almost unused. I pulled on its handle and a small box not more than three inches long fell into my hands. I could count the cards it contained on one hand.

And then the tears came. I began to weep. Sobs so deep that the hurt started in my stomach and shook through me. I fell on my knees and cried. I cried out of shame, from the overwhelming shame of it all. The rows of file shelves swirled in my tear-filled eyes. No one must ever, ever know of this room.

I must lock it up and hide the key.

Bride-Price / Dowry for a poor man

One day, a woman came to see the Prophet of Allah [PBUH= Allah's blessings and Peace be upon him] and said: "Oh! Messenger of Allah! I do not have a husband and I want to be a good wife; i give myself to you."

The Messenger of Allah [PBUH] kept silent for a long while.

Suddenly, a man who was present stood up and asked if the woman would accept him for a husband.

The Messenger of Allah [PBUH] said: "Do you have anything to give her as a dowry."

The man thought and said: "I have half of my cloth," and indeed he was wearing a single cloth around him.

"If you give her part of this cloth, you will have nothing to wear anymore; it will become her possession. Find something else." Since at this time the followers of Islam and the Prophet himself [PBUH] were poor, the man thought again a long time and declared: "No, I do not possess a thing to give her."

The Messenger of Allah then told him: "Go to your house and look for something, even if it is an iron ring."

The man departed and came back a while later, and declared: "I looked everywhere, but I did not find anything to give her as her dowry."

After reflection, the Prophet of Allah [PBUH]said: "Did you learn some of the Qur'an?"

"Yes, I have learned by heart so-and-so Surahs [chapters of the Qur'an]"

The Messenger of Alah [PBUH] therefore declared: "Teach her what you know of the Qur'an, and this will constitute her dowry."

The couple felt contented with what was proposed, and they got married.

The miracle at the spring of Tabuk

During the year of Tabuk, they went out with the Messenger of Allah [PBUH=May Allah bless him and grant him Peace], and the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) prayed Dhur and 'Asr together.

Then he said, "Tomorrow we will meet, Insha Allah, at the spring of Tabuk. Do not go there until well into the morning. You should not touch the water until i arrive." We all agreed and, the day after, we all gathered at the spring of Tabuk. But, when we got there, two men had already reached it before us and the spring was dripping with very little water.

The Messenger of Allah [PBUH] approached and asked them: "Did you touche this water?" They said: "Yes, we did." "Take water with your hands from the spring little by little until you have collected a small amount in something." When this was done, the Messenger of Allah [PBUH] washed his face and hands on it. Then he put it back into the spring and the spring began to flow with abundant water, and the people began to draw water from it. Then he said [PBUH): "If you live long enough, you will see this place full with gardens."

Jewish boy receives Dawa at the face of death

Ibn Kathir reports from Musnad Ahmed (ra) that the Prophet (saw), during his time in Medinah went to visit a young ailing Jewish boy. Muhammad (saw) at the time, as a ruler, along with his companions Abu Bakr and 'Umar (ra) entered the house and found the Jewish boy's father reading the Torah alongside the bed to comfort his son's soul. Due to the presence of Muhammad (saw), the man closed the Torah. Muhammad (saw) asked the man "By the One who revealed the Torah, do you read in it about me and about the news of my baath (coming) or not?" The father of the Jewish boy shook his head and said "no?"

Upon hearing this, his dying son spoke up and said, "I swear by the One who revealed the Torah that we find in our book the news of your characteristics and your baath (coming), and bear witness that you are the Messenger of Allah."

The boy died soon afterwards and the Prophet (saw) said, "He is a Muslim, remove the Jews from here." Then, he (saw) prepared for the boy's burial and funeral prayer. Understanding the way in which Muhammad (saw) delivered the Da'wah of Islam at all times and to all people, even when they were on their deathbed should make us realise the seriousness of this duty and the priority that the Messenger of Allah (saw) gave it. Muhammad (saw) did not hesitate to challenge the belief of the Jew, even when he was facing a tragic time for his family. We should realise the seriousness of delivering the Da'wah (Message) because those who die without being delivered Islam will have a case against the Muslims on the Day of Judgement. As we see in the events mentioned above, Muhammad (saw) saved himself first by delivering Islam and furthermore saved that boy from the Hellfire.

Standing firm in salat after being hit by arrows

Four years after the Hijrah [emigration of the followers of Islam from Makkah to Medinah], in the city of Medinah, the Muslims were still in danger due to the Jewish tribe, the Banu an-Nadir, who broke their contract with the Prophet Muhammad [PBUH=May Allah bless him and grant him peace].

Then the community received news that some tribes from the desert of Najd were about to attack. So, the Prophet of Islam [PBUH] raised over four hundred Muslims in order to prevent them from attacking.
Arriving at Najd, they found that only women were present in the houses; the men had taken refuge in the hills.

Some of the Nadj tribes regrouped and prepared themselves for the fight. The time of 'Asr [the afternoon prayer] came, and the Muslims divided in two, as it was revealed, and each group prayed after the other. The ennemy, seeing the discipline among Muslims felt uneasiness and fear. They did not attack. So, the Muslims went back to Medinah.

The Prophet of Allah [PBUH] asked:

"Who will be our guard tonight?" Two men immediatly rose: Abbad ibn Bishr and Ammar ibn Yasir. Abbad saw that Ammar was tired and asked him: "What part of the night do you wish to sleep, the first or the second?" "The first part," said Ammar.

The night was serene. Everything seemed peaceful. Abbad decided to spend the night in Ibadah [acts of worship] while his companion was asleep, and began reciting the Qur'an. Abbad soon stood and faced the Qiblah in order to perform Salaat [voluntary prayer]. He began reciting Surah al-Kahf of one hundred and ten verses which explains the virtues of faith, truth and patience and the passing of time.

While he was absorbed in recitation and in thought, an ennemy came from the mountains of Najd and saw him vulnerable. The man drew his bow and thew an arrow towards Abbad. Calmly, Abbad pulled the arrow out and continued his meditation. The ennemy shot a second, then a third arrow. Abbad pulled them out one by one, and finished his recitation. Weak and in pain, at last, he stretched out his right hand during his prostration and awoke his companion Ammar. "Glory be to Allah! Why didn't you wake me up when the first arrow reached you?" "Reciting the verses of the Qur'an filled me with such wonders that I felt repugnance to cut it short. I would have preferred death rather than stopping right in the middle of it." Abbad did not die this day; he died as a shahid [a martyr], at the battle of Yamamah. He fought so vehemently that his wounds made him almost not recognizable. He was a true believer.
